Mel Brooks Spaceballs
Voto:
A declining Brooks, perhaps lacking a bit of courage and inventiveness in the comedic scenes; in the end, it’s nice but very, very light.

The merit, in my opinion, is that the film has opened the eyes of many people who thought that in Germany everyone was a Nazi and there was no real opposition to the regime; bringing the story of the "White Rose" to light for German cinema is a very important act towards a part of history that they would prefer to forget.

I have the DVD of "Rockshow," but it's a bootleg.

"Silly Love Songs" is a mockery of the critics; this song is even loved by Springsteen. Now Denny Laine is a bit pathetic; without Paul and Linda, the Wings don't exist.

This is one of the albums I still need to buy....
Curved Air Live

In my opinion, Kristina loses the unique expressiveness of the studio recordings in this live performance; turning to a harsher singing style doesn’t suit her and ends up ruining the songs.

Damn, I missed the apostrophe, or what can you do, I've been studying all day and my brain is a bit fried...

The singer appears in the first chapter; he is the teacher with the megaphone who shuts down Marty’s group during the auditions for the school dance... they are playing "The Power Of Love," and he tells them, "I'm sorry, you're too loud..."

Female rock in Italy... I don't know if there's been any. Now certainly neither Consoli nor the overexposed and commercial Elisa, nor all the other faux alternatives (what a pity for Grandi) make rock. Cristina Donà is one of the most interesting artists; she has a personal style that can and must evolve (if you think about it, she’s already forty and started late). However, Consoli is a singer-songwriter very much tied to the more visceral folk of her land, and in my opinion, she is a phenomenon that can be limited to Italy or to emigrants in the USA and in England. In '98, Alice's "Exit" came out... definitely a whole different kind of music, and until today, the most revolutionary things in Italy and in the EU have been done by her... "Capo Nord" from '80 truly rewrites the rules of female rock-pop in Europe.
