I don't know Branduardi's live performances. Certainly, in general, I think that in his work, as much as I know it (quite well), one can find some of the sweetest unions of music and lyrics in Italian music and beyond. The fact that a large part of his lyrics draw from the style and poetic imagery of Yeats says it all. Simply magical.

Beautiful, beautiful... You wanted to go to the concert alone, but through what you've written on this page, you've truly taken us all with you; personally, it felt like I was right by your side. The image of you lying on the grass is lovely, and so is that thought about the reevaluation and the appreciation for Plant that has grown over the years (when we’re young, we’re always a bit blind and too convinced of things, but it has to be that way; we need to grow in order to one day be able to have doubts and regrets, along with all the demons that inevitably come with them...).

Freedom (including freedom of opinion) is an elusive philosophical concept. None of us is free. We are all influenced by the thoughts of others, whether lazy or not. Your feeling of being free, and the pride that comes from it, is just a vain illusion you have fallen into due to boredom, a concept far less elusive. The album is a masterpiece.
