Hey, the flying dog has always scared the hell out of me. And also the giant stone rhinoceros-thumper, and the void.

The average kids today, definitely. Not even the Beatles. Can someone tell me about Slint?

mmm, Lux, I don't feel it as so "trendy". Well, yes, it's a style exercise, but in my opinion, there are ideas there. I also really like the title track, Stay, and I discovered The Wanderer :0 Actually, I’m currently more into Soundgarden, Afghan Whigs (oh, if I could find Congregation), and also the Virgin Prunes (great samples on Amazon). I also had half a mind to get the Fugazi albums Red Medicine or Repeater, but if they are like Surfer Rosa, I need to process that a bit more ;) A little curiosity: are the Slint from "spiderland" very different from those from "tweez"? Is it a more... um, melodic, slow album? I happened to hear Washer on YouTube, performed live, and it seems to me it strays a bit from the tracks on the first album.

oh easy, by the way I'm starting to support Zooropa as a good album, superior to many other U2 ones. It doesn't have anything to do with your discussion, but it needs to be said.

Um. As far as I'm concerned, glam hair metal, if it's the kind of stuff from Europe and the like, is unbearable. Even the house party guys would find it disgusting.
