Lucio Battisti Emozioni
Voto:
What can I say, Lucio Battisti was great. It's true that this is the most beautiful album he ever made, but his debut record "Lucio Battisti" is also good, which is nothing more than a compilation of unforgettable singles from our dear Lucio's early days. A little gem about "Dolce Di Giorno", did you know that the instrumental track Lucio sings on was played by the Dik Dik? In fact, they later released it as a single too. Rec is not bad, written by someone who loves great music and the great Lucio. Lucio, you have been and will always be one of the few prides of our Italy.
John Frusciante Inside Of Emptiness
Voto:
In my opinion, John Frusciante is limited in the Red Hot Chili Peppers; he is not a guitarist on the level of Jimmy Page or Jimi Hendrix, but he is a good guitarist. At least I think that if taken out of the Red Hot Chili Peppers he could do a lot. For example, Frusciante also copies a bit; in the recent single from the reappearance of the Red Hot Chili Peppers "Dani California" (what a crazy title!), he does a solo reminiscent of the intro to Hendrix's "Purple Haze" (anyone who has heard it must have noticed). In short, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are done (that is, they were already dead and buried with "Californication," a brutally commercial album, not to mention "By The Way"), and I repeat, if John Frusciante is taken on his own, he could be very prolific.

Pibroch, I have only listened to "Close To The Edge" by Yes so far, which I really enjoyed, by the way. As for Yes, let's say I'm in an exploration phase; as a huge Prog Rock fan, I'm discovering them all, but slowly—otherwise, what's the point? Thank you for the vote on the poem... because it's not a rec but a poem... Bye.

Miki, I agree with you... as a huge admirer of the Fab Four, I am ready to say that their early albums are definitely very commercial, but equally good. What they did afterward, as you say, is not classifiable into any genre... I call the period that starts with "Rubber Soul" and ends with this "Abbey Road" experimentation, avant-garde, and above all, courage. I’ll conclude this post with a phrase said (I’m not quoting it verbatim from Paul, but as I remember it) by McCartney: "We were tired of playing concerts for people who came to see us and not to hear us. At that point, we decided to work primarily in the studio, experimenting a lot. Whatever we did would have immediately pleased people because we were the Beatles!"

According to one of the best of the Gabriel era. For me, it's the best, closely followed by "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway," the cover is also legendary. The rec is good.

I knew they were part of a group at the time, but I didn't know they were called Mangala Vallis. Yeah... Acqua Fragile are hard to find; I barely managed to download the first album from the Internet.
Led Zeppelin Houses Of The Holy

Great album, I just listened to it again a few days ago. "Rain Song" is a legend, "D'yer Maker" is the "POP-Reggae experiment," "The Songs Remains The Same" a beautiful rock piece with a strong impact, and "No Quarter" the Psychedelia (I find this track very similar to the style of Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side Of The Moon," don't you think?). The recording is very good and quite convincing, fitting well into the context of the album.

Le Vibrazioni Le Vibrazioni
Voto:
Le Vibrazioni is one of the few respectable Italian bands that, in my opinion, doesn't make excellent music, but rather very good music. Dear Breathing, are you new here? The review you wrote is a bit "moody" (in a good way, of course...) but I disagree; Le Vibrazioni have nothing to do with the Red Hot Chili Peppers (who, for me, were a good band only after "Blood Sugar Sex Magic," then it was all downhill). Francesco & Co. refer more to the great Rock, the real one from the '70s. Le Vibrazioni themselves have stated that they "continue the thread of discourse interrupted in the '70s by groups like New Trolls, Le Orme, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc." Well, I see very little musical style related to Le Orme, indeed, none at all; there's little from Zeppelin, and the same goes for Pink Floyd... in short, they lean more towards Italian POP, but as I repeat, the music of Le Vibrazioni is good music to me. So Breathing, if you just arrived, welcome!!!! Rating for the review: 3.5
