Let's say that as far as certain groups in today's music scene are concerned, they are definitely safe. I haven't listened to the whole album, but I've heard the singles released; at least in those three songs, I couldn't sense the experimentation you're talking about in the review. Maybe to facilitate radio play, they chose the least experimental ones... but I repeat, for the genre they do, it's fine.
