Canned Heat Living The Blues
Voto:
Great rec! I need to listen to the album, but I know Canned Heat well enough!

Great album! The title track is pure Prog at its finest! The remaining tracks are all masterpieces, especially "The Park" with its unique and unrepeatable atmosphere!

Jonah, do you know why this happens? Because they see the date 1973, and then their brain, damaged as it is, says "no old stuff!", when instead, in sounds and ideas, it is even ahead of today itself!

Well, yes Jonah! This time yes! :-)

@Cimbarello: for me, it was also my salvation to use my head, but we always need to be wary of who and what to let influence us! And let's be clear: some parents leave their children (12-year-olds) to do whatever the hell they want, and that's harmful, to say the least!

@zelig88: for me, yes! It corresponds to two equal pieces of a Lego!

Society no longer has the foundations to be considered as such! And here you could stop me. But I won’t stop; it's right that you all know what’s happening outside our homes! Let me share two examples that truly happened to me: 1. Jonah rightly said he’s fed up with the whole thing, and Cimbarello132 talked about empty peers without culture. They’re both absolutely right; you have my full support! A few days ago at the bar where a friend works, a woman in her 50s called me a zealot, gay, and a beast of Satan just because I have long hair and dress in my own personal way. It was pointless to refute what she said; I tried to make her understand my way of living, perceiving, and fighting against what’s around me. But it was no use! I told her I couldn't care less about Satan, and if she was interested, from the waist down, I’m a man—a man who loves the female gender madly. I told her that based on what she said, then all women are zealots (in Rome, "zella" means filth, ragamuffin) since most women have long hair. But my words were carried away by the wind!
2. The second case: yesterday, to please some friends of mine (I have a very diverse circle; I have friends without labels and friends who do have them, but I don’t have any flashy or trendy friends!), we went to RomaEstate because they wanted to dance salsa... I hate dancing, I hate Latin music, but for the friends who, despite musical tastes, are truly amazing people, I made the effort to be there and witness a MEDIOCRITY I had never seen with my eyes or perceived with my mind! People dancing to a senseless and especially passionless music track, boys and girls of at least 15 years old shaking their hips just for the sake of appearing! A thing I wouldn’t wish upon anyone to witness! They were a flock of sheep, but without a true shepherd, or at least the shepherd couldn’t be seen because he’s part of the minds of these sheep... we could simply call this shepherd ABSURD MEDIOCRITY, a drug that slowly devours only the organ of the brain! To think that during the trip I played "Inferno" by Metamorfosi for my friends, and no one appreciated it, but I repeat, aside from this, they are truly amazing people!

@Giona: I completely agree with you. In my opinion, we have not gone back to prehistory, but even further... to nothingness!!! I reiterate that the blame is not on the record labels, but on the people! The record labels are simply doing their job, following the tastes of the people, whether they are terrible or excellent! Have you ever wondered why there was so much good Music in the '60s and '70s (aside from a few bad songs that existed back then, but still, we’re talking about much lesser amounts compared to today, significantly lesser!)? It's because people wanted to hear that kind of Music, and the record labels, always within their inevitable limits, signed real Artists who were eager to share their Music played with heart for people who listened with heart. It's really that simple.

Tangerine Dream had the peculiarity of playing only keyboards, in my opinion, pioneers in this conception of making Music. I haven't listened to the album, but I will! The recording is good, although a bit too schematic...

This has always been a poor fool! To think that Pino Scotto even made a song about him! Pino criticizes the crap and he’s right, but I don't understand how he could make a piece with this guy who is the crap he attacks every day!
