It’s already better as a review compared to that of ADATR... even if I’m not very fond of track by track.

I was a fan of Queen, and I still am of the early Queen, dear Walterstarman, and I assure you that in the 80s the Queen produced albums of an artistic level that was nothing short of irritating. Come tell me that I don't know a thing about music, but that's the plain and simple truth. Albums like Hot Space and The Miracle are insignificant. Also because, rightly so, during those years albums came out, as Pretazzo recalled, of the caliber of Doolittle, New Day Rising, Tweez... and I would also mention Daydream Nation and the excellent Isn't Anything...

The album is pleasant, but it feels heard and overheard. I mean, in my opinion, there's little compositional personality. Sometimes it seems like I'm listening to Porcupine, and even Floyd occasionally. The Idle End is paradigmatic in this sense. Maybe it’s because I always have that masterpiece of Yerself is Steam in mind.

Granted that Pet Sounds is not exceptional, you can't tell us that Surfin' USA, on the other hand, is fundamental. That's not true. Without a doubt, Pet Sounds is more important than Surfin' USA.
