The Doors' attempts to profit are very pathetic, but among all the things they've butchered, this album manages to shine with a bizarre magic, an empathy that overwhelms you within. Jim's verses are a pure glimpse into the abyss of truth.

What kind of response do you expect? Okay senior, and don’t come talking to me about people who truly love music, please, because I make music and I work my ass off for it because I believe in it and I live for it. Because each of us who truly feels alive should do EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to open the eyes of the people who wallow like zombies in hibernation in this system, and I’m not just talking about music—what happens in culture is just the tip of a shit iceberg called CONTROL and DOMINION. Sure, we’re all part of the system, no exceptions, it would be assholes to say otherwise, but at least we should be aware of it. Sometimes, that would be enough to prevent everything from drifting away.
