Hi Fidia, sorry for the late reply. I’m glad about your discovery. The impact of Lynch's cinema is something that, if it resonates with your tastes, can completely change your life. For me, it’s been a one-way trip. By the way, Elephant Man is the only "conventional" film of Lynch from a structural standpoint. You’ll see when you find yourself at the end credits of Lost Highway, Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive... I almost envy you, I confess. Bye and thanks for your comment.

Oh my God, what is this album? For me, the classic Cave. A notch above even The Good Son. There isn't a single song on this album that doesn't provoke a DEEP spleen. Great review, I like your style.

I would say we are almost on the same wavelength. I would add Ministry, Skinny Puppy, and This Mortal Coil.

Thank you for the comments. I also come from the dark and industrial scene (my favorite band is Trent Reznor).

For me, for example, Baker Baker drives me crazy. In my opinion, it’s not cheesy at all, but pure emotion.

Listen Joe, I don’t want to interrupt, but you were the first to start, because you misinterpreted what Geek said. He said that Blue Bell Knoll is ONE of his FAVORITE albums, and you posted saying to be careful about claiming that Blue Bell Knoll is one of Fraser’s BEST albums. So you added that one should re-listen to the discography, which isn’t very nice. At least, if someone said that to me, I would be quite pissed off. So let’s both stop now; it’s better this way. Personal tastes don’t need any criticism when it comes to art. However, your judgment on the album is more interesting; I don’t agree with it, but I gladly welcome it and thank you for participating in the comments...

God Christ guys, you're flooding my inbox with bullshit. Please stop as soon as possible. It would be better to talk about the album if you really want to get off.

Aramis, as you yourself have noticed, you are doing philosophy. The best philosophy should not be understood as a "discipline," akin to chemistry or engineering—just to give an example. Philosophy is about asking questions; it’s the most natural thing for human beings. Questions about our existence, about the nature of the world. The best measure of judgment for all this is not usefulness.
It may be for economics. Philosophy is mostly perfectly useless if you approach it from this standpoint. It is the most "useful" aspect of humanity if you consider that asking questions is truly feeling aware of living. It is an expression of human nature just like music; they are simply two different expressions. And they are not in contrast with each other, indeed...

I recommend taking a look at the Sorbonne's website, then. As luck would have it, there are even two scheduled this year. Two years ago, however, I took a course on the Nietzsche of the uncurrent with Prof. Romano. Better not to bring it up too casually.
