Butthole Surfers Locust Abortion Technician

I think Sfascia Carrozze is the new Frank Zappa or the new Butthole Surfers, you can't make sense of what they write... eheh. Anyway, the ratings I would give to the Surfers. Butthole Surfers Ep 5... Live Pcceep 3 (unfortunately, I'm with the surfers ep)... Psychic Powerless 5... Rembrandt Pussyhorse 5... Locust Abortion Technician 4... Hairway To Steven 4 (with Jimi, which is one of the best songs ever in my opinion).

beautiful review, I have never particularly loved the SPs, despite an apparent resemblance to corgan:P

I fully agree with Chandler, the first LP (without the live) psychic powerless and rembrandt pussyhorse are the most exciting works of the band. This is a decent album, the last truly groundbreaking peak of the band is with Jimi in Hairway to Steven, then the Surfers have completed their (huge) mission.

The only original records I would buy are those by Fugazi and other independent artists; the majors can just screw off. Piracy kills cinema and music... and selling a CD for 22 euros, making it inaccessible, or a DVD for 40, what the hell eeeee!!!! Those who are killing music are them, not the average Italian customer with a limited budget. File Sharing Rules... buy only records from Touch and Go, Skin Graft, Alternative Tentacles, Dischord, and a few others :)

In my opinion, you’re placing too much importance on the “absurd” component, which I would instead interpret as no-sense with a psychedelic and redneck aim. Festwca, I would give a 5 to the first EP of the Surfers, but then the live performance lowers the overall quality of the album. Three rather superfluous versions of Something, and some bad live recordings do not make it attractive enough to deserve a 5. I would say BUTTHOLE SURFERS EP 5 LIVE PCECCPPE (or whatever the hell it’s called) 3 E, and for Psychic Powerless, definitely 5.5... The problem with a quite underground group like the Butthole Surfers is that there are no visual references... everyone has in mind various Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, Freddie Mercury, Syd Barrett. But who remembers Gibby Haynes's face in ’85? And what these crazies were doing in the early 80s, who really knows? Get yourself BLind Eye Sees All, a live from ’85... they’re the best. Then it’s a matter of personal taste. Concubine, you try to escape! You motherfucker are mine!! Succkin suckda!!! The brilliant thing is that absurd groups want to make you laugh; they said things that were absolutely nonsensical as if they were wild aphorisms... There’s nothing in the history of music that sounds like this. For once, I agree with Scaruffi and Ondarock!
AC/DC Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap

Dirty Deeds title track is a bomb... the AC/DC spirit at its peak, sorry Dirty Deeds, Rocker, and Problem Child are mega hits!! They've been playing them for 30 years, and they’re all included in this album, how can you say it doesn’t contain hits? Anyway, the best thing about the whole album is Malcolm Young's choir, both in Love at First Feel and in the now already mentioned 4e324235423 times "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap."

You didn't mention the influence of hardcore on the Surfers, which I find really important. I don't see any trace of industrial, rather I would have highlighted the influence of the no-wave movement and also the Residents on this record. Nevertheless, to each their own, the strong no-sense, sacrilegious component, Leary's cacophonous musical flair, Kramer who would later make waves in Bongwater, and Gibby's absolute charisma deserve the highest praise in my opinion. Who else can claim to have composed a Psychic Powerless in their career? ... only they can. Well, now I'm going to listen to Melt Banana, bye bye.

This album is a 6, giving it a 5 is an insult...the best rock band in the history of music.

Here's a group that has never had the fans they deserved, except for the Melvins, Nirvana, Dinosaur Jr, and a few others. Only the unfortunate metalheads consider Kiss, and it’s a shame...great band.

I don't like the genre, but you really wrote it well! :)
