I agree with good Jourgensen, Reznor is good but genius is too much. And anyway, up until "Downward Spiral" and "Further Down" in some episodes it's fine, already in "The Fragile" the music had softened a lot of the sharper edges. That doesn't mean that this Reznor, let's call him the one of age and artistic maturity, shouldn't be appreciated, but personally I prefer to listen to the things he did in his youth. Degustibus, obviously.

Well, I must say that saying the Velvet were not psychedelic at all seems excessive to me. Even if they didn't intentionally make psychedelic music like the 13th Floor Elevators, they indirectly produced a lot of psychedelia; it's just that they were way ahead of the 13th, for instance. So, I don't want to make comparisons, because one is a fundamental band on a general level for all music we might call "rock," while the other is a fundamental band in garage and psychedelia.
