Oh my God, what do I have to listen to... great voice... from the first time I saw his pockmarked mug and heard his nasal voice, my life expectancy dramatically shortened. I would love to have him in my hands; I know a medieval remedy for his ass, and I'm not kidding. Even Celine Dion technically has a beautiful voice, but how she uses it is terrible, and there's no doubt about it. The bassist of Paul Young in the '80s was a MONSTER, but (unfortunately for him) he applied his talent to serve a terrible music. Skill doesn’t lie in technique, but in how it is used to produce beautiful things. And not volcanic flows of diarrhea like our Toccamo Ferro.

together with the Clash and Ramones, among the few punk things I can digest. One note: punk was formalized in the UK, but it comes from the United States. When the Ramones came to England for a tour, they let some young Clash members into the dressing rooms (they had yet to record their first album).

I have to say that the previous one left me indifferent, but this one has been in heavy rotation for a couple of weeks. Light listening for the start of spring, but still interesting. Myth takes and must be the moon above all. And I have to say that I’m also enjoying the latest LCD. Very catchy but still, you can’t say it’s bad. Of course, I’m an ignoramus when it comes to electronics, so maybe to someone who knows the subject better, it might seem like obvious stuff.

it's not kitsch because I read it through a historical lens, we didn't understand each other. Just the scene you mention, I initially thought it was cool, then the guitar starting really felt like putting parmesan on a dish of clams. And then I say this and then I fade away: there exists a damn Italian verb (and I’m not saying this out of nationalism) "citare" which can be used instead of the Italianized "to quote," yet everyone opts for Englishizations without perhaps stringing two words together when they encounter an Anglophone. I'm not talking about you Puni or anyone else here, it’s the general Italian trend that is nonsensical. We introduce English words into our daily lives at full throttle, and then no one speaks any language other than Italian or their dialect.

Strange though, same period (I’d say year) and same title... uncovered the catch, the bassist and Cosimo were in the first lineup of Brainticket and played on the band’s first album (Cottonwoodhill, indeed), then they joined Toad.

No, it's called kitsch at my house. And above all, the soundtrack is terrible, adolescent-pimpled.

Cocorosie represents almost everything in music (but above all attitude) that utterly disgusts me. Clear enough? Oh for crying out loud, it’s stuff for refined palates, considering it’s listened to by few... so few that they're all there drooling over them. The stuff for a select few is found elsewhere, and thinking being for a few = cool is an equation and mindset that many have (unfortunately I've fallen into it too) but it should just be a way to seek out less commercial things, not because niche = I’m + hipster who likes soundsystem stuff that are all sold out. And anyway, go read Enk's review which remains one of my favorites on the site.
Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu 21 Grammi

I would like to try to see it because I liked Amores Perros back then, and because Babel almost made me angry. But the only time I passed out in depression after 15 minutes. Inarritu's only problem is this fucking flashback screenplay with a unifying and cardinal moment, which he has pedantically repeated in at least two films (Amores Perros was okay, with Babel I knew what would happen at least a couple of minutes beforehand; where does 21 Grams fit into this?).

listened to it badly in the past years, downloaded this, and almost immediately deleted it. At times chilling. Yet they speak highly of it, it really pissed me off.

cottonwood hill? But is it a renowned place in Switzerland? No, because the Brainticket wrote a song and titled an album after it. And it seems to me that they were partly Swiss. The album me puede interesar.
