Honestly, it makes my milk curdle!!!!
Anyway, we didn't mean drone in the broader sense of the term, but within this context (metal).... I know this genre can be made with anything, but drone doom can only be made with guitar and bass!!!!! But anyway.... don't you think you're feeling a bit too much like "mister I know everything"? I'm sorry but I don't share your opinion... I don't think they are overrated at all, in my view... there are people here who create truly innovative and forward-thinking music... but then again, it's a matter of opinions!
