Depeche Mode Remixes 81-04
Voto:
I much prefer the collection of singles (well done, great selection of tracks) which, in itself, usually doesn’t make much sense because it’s always better to buy the official albums. Some of the remixes here are really nice, nothing to complain about. However, I would never buy it, that’s for sure…

Well, aside from the massive number of reviews on DeBaser for this pseudo-masterpiece, it should be noted that yes, the review is written quite well, but it does not reflect what, IN MY OPINION, is the reality regarding the album. This is a perspective I have already extensively illustrated in other reviews and I won’t rewrite it here. I’ll give the rating again, though...
Ry Cooder Paris, Texas
Voto:
To be honest, I prefer "Jazz" to this, even though it's less palatable and more difficult to digest. But Cooder has phenomenal technique, and you can feel it throughout this album—pleasant and harmonious. I believe he used an alternate tuning for the instrument in "Paris, Texas" with the aim of giving different sonorities to the chords created with different voicings. Faiv, ofcours.

At least you’re a fake, maybe of yourself or someone else, but you’re definitely a fake. And we really like fakes, we’d love to have one a day, but you keep giving us more. This album is half-assed, you know, one of those that leaves you with a sense of dissatisfaction all day long.

Are you for real with these records, or did you download them from the web? Just asking, so I can report you... Anyway, the review is really good, as usual, I really like the long list of adjectives describing the album, but I don't quite understand what the genre is. I find a discrepancy between the review and DeGeneri. Any clarifications?
J.J. Cale & Eric Clapton The Road To Escondido
Voto:
Agreeing with primiballi, undoubtedly Clapton has reached significantly higher levels while Cale has always settled on good levels but never outstanding. If it were a Cale record, I would probably give it a 4, but if I see Clapton's name, well, I expect something more. Definitely below the collaboration with B.B. King, without a shadow of a doubt. But we mustn't forget Cale's Cocaine... :D

Isis, how much would you be willing to deposit into our bank accounts to be erased? We can be a pain in the ass, but we’re not assholes; we really like money. A lot, actually. I'm waiting for your offer.
