Kiss Music From "The Elder"
Voto:
You're right! The album wasn't understood. Kiss tried to evolve in songwriting and the complexity of their songs, but it didn't sell, and "The Elder" was a complete commercial failure (not in quality). One cannot absolutely say that this album is terrible, at most "Unmasked" (which I consider their weakest work). "I" is the only song that made it into the top ten because it very much recalls the classic Kiss style; the rest is all different, unexpected stuff. What can I say... the market dictates the law.

A very pleasant job. The closing ("Grace") is really perfect, perhaps a bit too elongated, but still appreciable.

Great powerful record!

Honestly, this album made me feel a bit sorry... Okay, they are technically monsters, but it's almost unbearable, heavy, and devoid of soul.
AC/DC For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)

I don't agree. Okay, creating an album that follows a masterpiece like "Back In Black" is always a difficult task, but I consider FTATR an enjoyable album. Perhaps what might raise some eyebrows is the very light production that doesn't quite fit the raw sound that's characteristic of AC/DC, but I don't only appreciate the title track. "Let's Get It Up," "COD," "Evil Walks" are great songs in my opinion.

The album is enjoyable; full of bluesy undertones. Recently, I've listened to some '90s albums by Bad Company (without Rodgers, who I'm not very fond of) and they are really well made!

The album is very raw, and there are even parts where the singer hits some major off notes...

This album is a blast! I had been looking for the review here on Debaser just a few days ago! Great, even though I would have spent a few more words. "Mice And Gods" is spectacular.

I didn't dwell on "Smoke On The Water" because it's already ringing in my ears, like it does for the Purples and many others. Then, when you say Deep Purple, the primary reaction of a normal person (who isn't musically educated) is to sing: "Smooooooke On The Waaaater" or "Ta ta taaaaa ta ta tataaaa...". So, it doesn’t make much sense, in my opinion, to spend words that would probably be useless on the song.
For Roby86 and Saputello: In Concert '70-'72 is a great album, even though it was released about 8 years later than this one. As for mkIII: "Mk III The Final Concerts" is the best. I have to say that I also didn’t mind the mark IV live, even though in some parts you can feel Bolin "missing" as he was struggling and unable to stand up.
