Intriguing and unsettling film: I’m not a fan of this type of cinema, but I must say I expected worse. Allow me to point out, in case you haven’t seen it (although, being a cinema enthusiast, I doubt you’re unfamiliar with it), something a bit more plausible and connected to reality that delves into the theme of the aberrations inherent in today's society of a reality that only seems distant from ours.

Ingredients:
fresh, unaged, unsalted sheep cheese,
flour, water, table salt, tomato sauce to taste.
For the dough:
flour, semolina, water, eggs, a pinch of salt.
Preparation:
We knead the flour, semolina, eggs, and a pinch of salt. Once the dough is firm, we let it rest covered with a cloth.
We roll out a thin sheet, arranging small squares spaced apart, seal them, pressing firmly, and cut with a pastry wheel, then we place them in the palm of our floured hand and, with a gentle pressure, being careful not to pierce them, we remove the air trapped inside the filling.
We cook in plenty of boiling salted water for about 3 minutes (the cooking time is approximate), and to prevent them from sticking together, we add a bit of oil.
We drain them, a few at a time, using a colander, and dress with the sauce and, if you like, also grated pecorino cheese.
They are served piping hot.
