Guys, what do you want me to say: "Demanufacture" (which, of course, I bought at the time) left me fairly disappointed: a monolithic wall of very square riffs but practically "soulless," quite different from the aforementioned first L.P. (in fact, even the subsequent mini - which I can't remember the title of - where they heavily flirted with E.B.M. thanks to the cooperation with Front Line Assembly) which, I reaffirm [as far as I'm concerned], remains an absolute cornerstone and worthy (even today) of note. As for the rest, frankly, I seem to detect a progressively tired retraction and a continuous softening of the same sound themes. In my opinion, this film (which I haven't seen) could, regardless of its actual effectiveness and success, generate unprecedented structural-creative scenarios for contemporary cinema. From what I've (barely) read about it, it might be worth exploring not in the cinema (where it loses its imaginative natural setting) but rather within your own stinking domestic walls, perhaps in the nighttime hours with the lights strictly turned off. In the worst-case scenario, at least you'll save on the electricity bill and won't have to pay for a cinema seat.
