the white jem by Vai is gorgeous... the price is huge but you can also find Vai guitars for 1400... the problem is they are qualitatively similar to the Prestige RG (some more, some less). Also, I’m not a big fan of "signature" guitars because then people think you want to emulate a certain guitarist and label you that way, as if you're playing without your own personality (and sometimes it happens that way)... (anyway, yes, Gilbert uses an Ibanez but that one is customized too)

What the hell are you talking about?? Dream Theater are years ahead technically... Dragonforce use and reuse the same tonalities; they are just hyper fast, but the technique is quite far from mere speed.
