If for you this Doo-Bop is a masterpiece (which, as we know, the term indicates the "head," so generally there can only be one... but let's not dwell on that), what are the other albums? It really feels like you're just some pesky zealot all "ye-ye-c'monbaby-what's up" who, since you understand rap (or at least you make it seem - what an honor!), take it upon yourself to deliver judgments about others. Rap doesn't drive me crazy, it's true, aside from a few hits I hear here and there, because I consider it a "minor" genre (assuming the term makes sense) for angry American eighteen-year-olds. Contextualized there it can make sense, but Italianized here it feels so much like an American imitation that doesn't quite suit us (think Articolo 31, 99 posse and the like...). Go rap and take a spin on your skateboard instead of wasting (and making others waste) time here on DeBaser, you know-it-all pimple-faced brat... ("for me this is a masterpiece"... Jesus, if I read it again I might throw up...)

In fact, I was tempted to give it a 2, but that's not fair to other artists who are worth much less than this and who really deserve a 2... Jan Garbarek, as far as I'm concerned, had moments of true divine inspiration for a brief period. Not here.

Dear Hal, you spoke for 8/10 about the artist with things that I, for the most part, agree on. Unfortunately, the remaining 2/10 concerning the album do not find me in agreement: listened to TODAY as I did back then, my impression is that of a dated and unsuccessful project: unsuccessful in its outcome (we can only speculate about the intentions), played in an uncertain manner and, in some respects, lacking conviction (sure, Miles was in a bad place and all that, but in the end the album was released with the approval of our man who, if I’m not mistaken, was still alive!) with passages and phrases that are round and linear (pop?) quite distant from the beautiful misleading improvisations he gave us in "A Silent Way," "Bitches Brew" with Zawinul & C, or the simple inspirations of the more recent "Tutu"...

I agree when you say "they will make many records, but their records are remarkable and those that aren't worth it, won't be purchased"... and I add "they should be reviewed and it should be said to them." That's it.

"Unfortunately, the album, although interesting, hasn't really inspired me that much." ... Ucabarucca, the doctor didn’t tell you to throw up all your reviews at once: you can rewrite them, think them over, publish them in small doses, or even trash them, unless you’re aiming for some sort of record like “10 reviews in a row” (or maybe the doctor really did prescribe it, they say it can be good for the Ego... who knows).

It's true, but after 5 the game is over; on the bright side, think about the 20-plus albums of Minghi (Zarillo, Ramazzotti, Morandi or their epigones) that we would avoid!!

I am honored, Mullah. It’s the first time on DeBaser that someone has given me such compliments.

This is a nice album. Punisher would say it too if he could be supportive...
