Words like "wow patty... you give me chills... beautiful words... you're really much younger than some of my friends... really: those who love life are always young. I agree!!!! I also love life... and I'm so happy to be who I am!!!" from KiarAvril WHO IS 15 I gladly understand and even find them amusing (without explaining why or how, dear Patty, without analysis or bullshit hindsight. They entertain me, I know why, and that's enough for me. Period.)

And here is the old backtracking feminist Patty telling us about "what young people are" (as if no one has ever been young) and declaring that I don't love young people (what do YOU expect to know from me, who don’t even know me? That's up for debate!). I AM a mediocre writer (I wouldn’t be here but already on my third book with Rizzoli, right? Let's move on...) I was saying, a little writer who borrows more or less already seen models (does the word TRASH ring a bell?) to write things that ARE NOT reviews as they are commonly understood, but are stories, jokes, puns, nonsense, reflections, poems to play around and have fun "with words." Because I use words TO PLAY WITH THEM and to NOT TAKE MYSELF SERIOUSLY, which you do with your overflowing rhetoric that has been "heard before" (that’s for sure!!) about WHAT young people are, you who may have been one but WHO DID NOT UNDERSTAND that when these things are discussed without "enlightenment," one only risks appearing as old, pompous forty-year-olds in a preaching frenzy (which you do quite well, more or less). Words like "Because I love and respect life, because I am a woman, because I am a mother, because I am forty years old... And because I remember how it was when I was young. And that does me good, because unlike you, I am young!" make me think of my Aunt Lidia, a divorced woman (and I'm sure you ARE TOO, it’s obvious from a mile away!!) who spoke at length about when she was young and beautiful while I, secretly, couldn't wait for her to slip me some cash. Relax darling, no one has come here to judge you, and equally, no one wants to be judged by you. The fact that "certain" young people get on my nerves is quite clear (and I say things fairly openly, see my reviews of Sex Pistols or Libertines) but unlike you, I AM NOT AFRAID of aging and I even joke about it... From your words, it’s clear that "you love young people" because you HOPE to find the lost time, you hope to have their solidarity, the classic mother who wants to be "my son’s friend" and doesn’t accept the reality of the passing time. Relax Patty, have fun and do what you want, I certainly won't judge you but spare me the sermon, I’ve had more than enough. Good luck!

Pino Daniele Sciò

I join in defining this as one of the best live performances I’ve heard over the years. Back then, Pino had a sense of purpose, not this walking corpse now voiceless proposing soft tunes that are terribly bland. But why does he keep going, I wonder! He must have made money, right? He’s had fame and glory, hasn’t he? So come on, at least out of respect for those who cared for you and supported you over the years (the fans), just stop there, do something else... produce someone, write songs, stick to making a biography, a diary of memories, for heaven's sake. IS IT POSSIBLE THAT ALL THESE PEOPLE HAVEN'T FOUND A MINIMUM OF BALANCE AND/OR HARMONY in their lives? Is it possible that WITHOUT MUSIC they feel like nobody? Don’t you all think that an attitude like this ISN'T entirely normal at the venerable age of almost 60?! Don’t you think there’s something that, on a HUMAN level, that is, as a person I mean, something is NOT RIGHT?
Andreas Vollenweider Book Of Roses

I listened to the first works of Andreas W. in '89 and back then I didn't mind the atmospheres evoked by that harp, and indeed his suites are recognizable after the first second. However, after three albums, the novelty effect has significantly waned, and he remains a skilled craftsman who tiresomely repeats a formally impeccable but worn-out and repetitive cliché. The review started off well and then it "settled down," causing only four big yawns one after another...

I created a theatrical/video performance with "Terra e acqua"... but I'm talking about 20 years ago... so for me the song is emotionally untouchable. Listening to the musical part now, it's quite simplistic, but in my opinion, the lyrics are very significant and meaningful...

If Tabba were really 13 years old and acted this way, he would truly deserve a punishment...

I know... he wrote to me this morning and he was all worried because I told him not to say anything to anyone: he apologized and now he's afraid I'll punish him (:-)))). Too sweet, that kid, right?
