I don't know? What is it that I don't know? I don't know Deep Purple, of all people, me who has Ritchie Blackmore's autograph? Or I don't know Pink Floyd, me who has everything related to The Wall? The problem, guys, is not this; the problem is of a different kind altogether. I don't want to offend anyone, and the worst thing, in my opinion, is the fact that these discussions arise, because they put subjectivity at stake, they put musical tastes at stake, and if people didn't have different musical tastes, music wouldn't make sense at all. Have you ever thought about this? It’s your problem if you like HIM; I just wanted to make sure we stop once and for all calling and labeling HIM as a metal band. Because if HIM really did metal, then what the hell genre are Iron Maiden and Metallica? Not to mention that Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin have nothing to do with metal since they are the pioneers of Hard Rock. The fact that Hard Rock gave birth to metal is a separate discussion. I just wish people had a broader musical culture, at least regarding genres, because I, as a metalhead, feel “offended” when people associate my favorite genre/style with Marilyn Manson, HIM, Slipknot, etc… I mean, get it straight, it’s not difficult: THEY MAKE NU-METAL!

Surely these artists are unlikely to last long. Keep in mind that the music discussed here must truly have something special to be continuously embraced by the audience, as everything relies on vocal expressiveness and how this can handle rhymes, verses, and lines over electric beats, often even improvising. Therefore, not much importance is placed on instrumental quality since this music is characterized by its "humility" in itself. As for the samples, as soon as I have nothing else to do, I will include one for each of my reviews.

I fully agree with Adriano. I feel a lot of irritation towards those who speak without knowing. As a great man once said, the wise is who knows they do not know, the fool is who speaks hearsay.
Iron Maiden Powerslave

it's the album by Iron that I listen to the most

I've had this album for ages and I still haven't listened to it because it doesn't inspire me. Once I've listened to it, I'll let you know what I think...

From the Lords, I only know Forsaken Fashion Dolls, and I've seen their fantastic videos. Anyway, a nice 5 for the review; I'll try to listen to this "Hard Rock Alleluja."

well, it won't be anything special..., but as soon as I bought it, I loved it a lot, especially elvenpath which really got me hyped. However, I must say that those were the years when I was discovering power metal music at the same time. Now, after quite a bit of time has passed, even though I attended one of their concerts in Milan, I don't enjoy them that much anymore...

Anyway, they play "melodic speed metal," which is a subgenre of Power Metal. In other words, power metal focused on speed.

It was the first album by Manowar that I listened to, the one that introduced me to the band. Initially, I was completely fixated on "Warlord" and "Gates Of Valhalla." Guys... I'm sorry, but I really don't know what to tell you... no matter how ridiculous they may be, how overrated they are, how much they're hated and criticized... I really love them, and every one of their songs gives me a sense of power like few other bands can.
