Why? Elephant Eyelash

Great album. I saw Why? live about a month ago, it was really a nice evening (considering the price of 5 euros :-) ). For Why?'s mp3s, I refer you to indiefordummies: dummies Best regards!

Finally, there's a discussion about this album on Debaser! For me, it's one of the top 10 albums of the year; I find it fantastic. Berninger has an amazing voice when he sings lines like "I'm sorry I missed you I had a secret meeting in the basement of my brain," or "I'm perfect piece of ass Like every Californian" – I find it irresistible. I saw them live in July, great concert.

One big comment, GREAT KOSMO!!! For the review and for the latest reply you posted. I found the review fantastic, the post absolutely spot on...never stop. I’m listening to the album these days; it's a bit too early for me to pass judgment...I’ll let you know later....

"too foolish, too losers, too 'toghi'!" ??? in my opinion, they're just foolish and nothing more...

I still have to frame this album. I put it on and it immediately gives me a great charge ("Daft Punk..." & "Movement" in particular), but after a short time it tends to wear me out. I definitely need to give it a few more listens... for now, I agree with the rating.

I remember the video (probably Liquido) filmed in a kind of abandoned factory. Beautiful song just like the video itself. Does anyone know what happened to them? Do they play in other bands?
Bloc Party Silent Alarm

I approached this album skeptically as well, at the moment (I've been listening to it in a row), and it really grabs me; I find it energetic and well-played, with some interesting ideas (e.g., the drum patterns in "Like Eating Glass"). Maybe I'll grow tired of it soon, maybe it'll end up making me hate it, but for now, I'm enjoying it...

Great tip! After reading the review, I downloaded it right away. I completely agree about the potential for addiction. The female-male vocal duets remind me a lot of those by Stuart Murdoch and Isobel Campbell from the good old days...
