There's only ever some bootlegs to listen to in order to curb the neurosis from the new Radiohead album... come on, then I hear certain songs... I want the new one now! Anyway, I didn't mind The Eraser, and I’ll try to listen to this somehow; I didn’t know anything about it, thanks for the news...

The Remote Part is the fourth album by Idlewild, and perhaps the most beautiful. The review is almost pointless. Sorry, but you should have said more. Like, who are they... for example.
The album, released in 2002, is the successor to 100 Broken Windows, which was the greatest expression, up to that point, of their indie sound with walls of sound and hints of the Pixies and R.E.M. This album is decidedly different from the previous ones, revealing a shift into less noisy and more intimate territories, infused with poetry (just like we see in the last track "Scottish Fiction"). The album includes "American English" and "Live In A Hiding Place," which are among the most beautiful songs of 2002. "Out Of Routine" is also stunning.
They are definitely a "niche" band that should have more space...
