THE REVIEW

This is one of those albums you don't forget.

Wisely and creatively structured, the tracklist starts with a splendid "You Held The World In Your Arms" (also released as a single by the Scottish band) rich in rock content yet wise in its lyrics.

The rest of the album flows with very catchy moments without neglecting the typical indie energy, still imbued with a certain sense of resignation. The "arrangement gems" that I would like to highlight are ALL the backing vocals, architected in an impeccable manner from an artistic standpoint. Additionally, the pseudo-title track "In Remote Part - Scottish Fiction" delivers a brilliant finale with the intervention of a voiceover that, although not singing, seems to weave true melodic and emotional structures in fusion with the sound that is as solid as it is intriguing.

Excellent album.

"The sense of melancholy from the Scottish countryside oozes from the words of this group that still believes in British pop and echoes all its tenets."

"Not recommended for those who aren’t in the best period of their love life!"
