David Gilmour Live In Milano
Voto:
The setlist is really interesting, even though the entire On a Island, especially in the second part, may have felt a bit heavy. However, I’m pleased to notice a certain shift in Gilmour's approach compared to past tours, which were much more Floydian; it almost seems like he wants to challenge Waters from a distance, who will be in Italy in June. This is a positive thing, and who knows, it might open the door to some surprises...

brilliant and dazzling album, with Mercury at the peak of his vocal abilities and May and Taylor in an extraordinary phase of grace in songwriting...5 stars just for considering the title track, The Show Must Go On and I'm Going Slightly Mad, three monumental and essential pieces...
Madonna Confessions On A Dancefloor
Voto:
No matter how you look at it, the first two singles have blown up the world... and unfortunately, in these years, only Madonna and very few others know how to do this...
Mondo Marcio Mondo Marcio
Voto:
I agree with the reviewer on the general sense of the review, although I would have preferred quite different arguments. Stupid like much of his reviews, the observation that The Punisher: Battisti and Mogol and MondoMarcio are exactly the same type of artist (they make, or made, songs for the people) makes perfect sense, and it's truly disarming...

a wonderful and astonishing masterpiece... but you need to be hospitalized...
Franco Battiato Sulle corde di Aries
Voto:
Egypt before the sands is a mental saw, something that has more to do with intellect than with music... but an intellect that has unfortunately lost its way... perhaps it's the only case where I would have wished for less innovative strength in an artist; in my opinion, Battiato didn't give everything he could in electronic music... then fortunately he emerged from the era of the unbearable records with Ricordi with his pop vein, which still delights us today...
Franco Battiato Sulle corde di Aries

Maybe two 5s are exaggerated... the review uses some ideas that testify to the age, I believe very immature, of the reviewer. Otherwise, it’s readable, although a few more lines and some concepts expressed more clearly wouldn’t have hurt. The album deserves a 5 in comparison to the trash circulating at the time in Italy, and Battiato in the 70s significantly contributed to our reputation, even internationally, albeit in hindsight. I give the album a 4 because I believe it lacks the originality of Clic and the cultural content of Fetus. Other than that, we are in the realm of absolute compositional genius.
Ivano Fossati L'Arcangelo
Voto:
I stumbled upon it by chance... quite strange, given that I usually don’t master anything nor listen to Fossati, but I must say it pleasantly surprised me... perhaps it just needed something simple to draw me closer to this great singer-songwriter. I find the entire work very enjoyable, with two absolute peaks: L'Arcangelo and Il Battito.
Roger Waters Amused To Death

I'm glad that this record is liked by so many people...and also the review :-) ...regarding Cuzzo's observation, I say that I share his hope; of course I also hope that Waters continues to write wonderful songs like those on this record...bye
