I've never trusted reunions; they always give me the impression of being cobbled together to make a few extra bucks. The Stooges had already been touring for a while, but putting together an entire album (which I haven't listened to yet and thus can't judge) seems to me at the very least forced. If it turns out to be crap, I'll let you know. Anyway, I heard the news and was hoping it wasn't true...

Just a small note: that whole group of great musicians you mention at the end wasn't "in the ensemble," but they were in the recording studio doing the backing vocals on the day the Beatles, with that song, participated in a television broadcast in Mondovisione, to which each of the participating countries (including Italy, I don't know with what) contributed a show. The UK's contribution was to film the Beatles while they were recording their new single.
