LTJ Bukem Mixmag Live! vol.3
Voto:
Drum'n'bass is perhaps the only genre of music that is TRULY new that the nineties have generated. And like any "new forms," it has evolved and branched out into different subgenres. LTJ Bukem is the king of the jazzed-out side but shares the kingdom equally with other royalty such as Goldie, Roni Size, Photek, 4Hero, DJ Krust...

I met the voice of Sainkho Namtchtylak several years ago. It was brought to Italy (and Europe) by Lindo Ferretti. And it was a very strong musical-emotional experience. These could be even better.
Murcof Remembranza

Well, the electronic world is vast and varied. It depends on what you prefer. If you like listening to it more than dancing to it, you can start with historical ambient (Brian Eno, for example) or current research (Murcof is a good start, but also Boards of Canada). Then there are the digital "quirks" of Aphex Twin, Plaid, etc. As for magazines in Italy, we're doing okay. The most interesting stuff can be found in BLOW UP, and if you know English, I recommend THE WIRE. Then on the web, there’s an embarrassment of choices.

Yes, they sound good, even though the record has its ups and downs. This trend and this label promise well. Go read the review of the PILLOW, and if you get into the mood, TELLARO are also OK. In short, the Italians are making their mark. Thanks to the Germans.

I also remember the first two. This is an appointment that I intend to keep. "les nuits" is fantastic. Am I wrong or does every one of his albums open with an arrangement of this light piece?

To answer your question, Giorgio, more than the lounge-chill out, which has already been a squeezed genre for a while, I consider the quotes of labels like Ninja Tune and others (Pussyfoot has gone bankrupt) to be "downward." They have always promoted listening-oriented electronics rather than dance music. Unfortunately, the list of groups "stuck" due to the crisis in the sector and commercial dynamics is quite long.

Mongoloid has been banned, and I believe they will also avoid "Jocko Homo." You can find a professional review on Stylus magazine: link rotto

And yes, we are a rather exclusive but contagious club. LoneSwordsman, when you finish the scouting, let me know.

The link works for me, meaning it actually leads to the review of Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division (very nice, by the way). I liked this connection to another text that belongs to this context. In short, a virtual dialogue in the same room.

Three samples even though the album is varied. For me, it’s a 3.5, but those who feel even more "fragile" might appreciate it more. Not that I feel like a rock now, but I reached my peak of fragility when the unknown pleasures were different, darker, and more desperate.
