Beherit The Oath Of Black Blood

I find the review written quite well. I don't know either the band or the album, especially because I've pretty much always hated black metal - particularly the more minimalist kind. However, I have to ask the classic idiotic question (which I believe is the same one the anonymous would have wanted to ask if only Pazuzu hadn't taken over him..): are we sure these aren't the usual hacks, incapable of holding an instrument, who hide their ineptitude behind a great mess?!? I reiterate that I don't know the band/album and that I haven't delved much into the genre, but I would like an intelligent answer and not the usual proclamation like: "black is a superior music that not everyone can understand, etc., etc.," because I tend to wipe my demonic ass with that. In the meantime, congratulations on the review. Bye.

An important premise: @g-g-junior: your response to my comment, or rather, the calm and collected way you addressed my criticism - excessive?! - would deserve a "5" on its own, and I confess that I regret giving you only a "2". The problem is that I really didn't like the approach! For example, you placed a lot of emphasis on the youthfulness of the group. An important element, true (even if you didn't mention the suicide of the previous singer... but oh well...), but with phrases like "a really good, wild, and fun listening" or "they just wanted to have fun"... well... to me, that makes it sound like just another one of those noisy and chaotic thrash albums of the time. What strikes about this record - if "historicized" - is its overall uncompromising nature, its complete lack of concessions from start to finish, a trait that emerges especially when compared to other extremely violent productions of the time (for example, “Crucifixion” or “Sweet Torment” by Hellhammer from the demo Triumph of Death from 1983: in terms of rhythm section, they're there, but the guitar riffing isn't as extreme, fast, and grinding)... and then, come on, where do you find such a compact album, but above all so dark, in that period?!... I think we need to call upon His Odinality Qhorthon, right?!? for everything else, peace and love!! :)!

You didn't write a lot of nonsense, and that's fine. You're missing some verbs and there are a few typos, but that's not a big issue either. The real problem is that you've considered - and therefore reviewed - this album as one of many from the mid-'80s. The greatness of this album lies not in the performance skill, the technique, and to be honest, not even in the particular originality of the compositions, but rather in having set a new sonic limit, in having made conceivable what had never been dared before. Becerra's voice is not "old school," simply because no one before him had ever sung like that. In short, HE IS OLD SCHOOL. The term Death Metal can be found here - perhaps for the first time... So it's not so much the content that's wrong, but the approach... the discussion would be lengthy, but I don't want to be too much of a pain in the ass. Sorry.

..laugh, laugh.. but for those like me, who had their childhood marked by the radio torment of an older sister infatuated with these losers, there's nothing to laugh about!! And why no mention of the masterpiece with a hundred samples from Hokuto "Charleston"! ..and now all together: ".. Bad Boy!!!...I Wanna Be A Bad Boy!!!"..

Congratulations to you for the excellent reviewing work in the last few weeks! On one hand, you've managed to gain your first aficionados, and on the other, you've had the courage to dare with the reviews of Men At Work... really impressive!! Well done! I hope to return to these pages as a reviewer as soon as possible! Thank you very much for the compliments on the Voivod review: I wasn't sure it would be appreciated... and instead, it even ended up in the recommended section!!! :DD!!

As soon as it came out, it deeply disappointed me. Listening to it after some time - and, of course, avoiding comparisons with the earlier albums - I've started to really like it and often find myself replaying it: it has a very "subdued" beauty... of course, hearing Godano sing "sillaberemo le coccole" still has a certain effect on me...

One of the rare reviews of a Manowar album with a minimum of critical sense. Well done! The rating for the record seems a bit excessive to me, but I belong to the camp that believes that from Kings Of Metal - including - onward, Manowar has done nothing but crap, so I don't carry much weight... Bye!

Here I am!! ..let's try to address this commentary gap. I have to say, Razor was never among my favorite bands, not even during my "metal-obsessive" phase, and reading your reviews, I realize I need a nice refresher on this. This is probably the best of the "early Razor" era.. but giving it 4 seems a bit excessive to me, especially considering the subsequent albums.. but, if I'm not mistaken, these are called tastes and they don't seem very debatable!!!:DDD!! I really like the "rhythm" of the review. Congratulations! Bye!
