Lloyd Kaufman, Michael Herz The Toxic Avenger

Long and rather pointless introduction.. You can’t evaluate The Toxic Avenger according to the standards of a normal film!!.. just as Troma can’t be put on the same level as a major studio! I agree with s4doll: it’s like accusing a science fiction film of being unrealistic! hi

The ending of the review really made me grin! Not having (yet) seen the film, I would have given you a nice score.. of course, getting at least the title of the film being reviewed right seems to be the bare minimum! Bye!

I say this softly with a great risk of getting embarrassed: I really quite like Bruci la città!..maybe in two weeks I'll have hemorrhoids from listening to it, but for now I find it really charming! Bye!

@cptgaio: aahhhh!!!..I admit I misinterpreted your previous comment (sorry!!..all my fault: actually, upon rereading it, I’d say it’s quite clear!!:DDD!!). So I can say that I fully agree with you: the main characters of the series (as is the case with the vast majority of the creations of the smiling Lee) have been fundamental to the history of comics, to the point of entering the global collective imagination (which, connecting back to my previous post, for example, did not happen with the mutant universe: here in Italy, for instance, I truly believe that, before the Synger movie, very few people knew a character like Dr. Xavier!!). Bye and sorry again for the misunderstanding!

It cracks me up: "The most recognizable feature of this band is the vocalist's voice"... and then you don't say what it's like!!:DDD! Next time, try to explain better what kind of music they make, maybe referencing other more well-known bands they draw inspiration from. By the way: the band isn't new to me... I think I have something somewhere on my HD... hmm!.. I'll try to give them a listen! Bye!

@cptgaio: very true, but it is also true that they are among those that today seem the most dated or, in any case, show the first signs of wear and tear due to age. I have never been a strong reader of theirs (even though for a long time - the first half of the '90s - I was a big fan of Marvel products), but I believe that the problem with the F4 formula is a certain rigidity-immutability of the characters and situations that, for example, has not yet occurred in the mutant universe (just think of the messes made by Claremont during Death & Rebirth) and which has led, in other titles, to true upheavals of the main character (I think of Peter David's gray Hulk...). Bye!

@Ghemison: to tell the truth, I don't know if it's Stan Lee's, but I would say that Captain America and the Avengers, along with Thor and Iron Man, regarding "weakness," I don't think anyone can beat them! The movie is a bit of a mess: you can't cast Jessica Alba and then have her play the invisible woman!! It's like hiring Rocco and having him play a gay character.

..in fact, I hadn’t noticed that it was even from 2001!!!!!..now it explains the extremely high number of visits..

...mmm.. so few comments.. I'm sorry! Let's say they are directly proportional to how much effort you put into writing the review!! :D!.. I've listened to the album very little and, indeed, it seemed pretty bad to me.. too bad because the first three are, in my opinion, great albums!

Honestly, I also find it to be a really good album. Many people think it's too "melodic" and heavy/Motorhead oriented, but in my opinion, that's not a flaw at all... quite the opposite! I believe it truly represents a great variation to the sound of the two masterpieces Agent Orange and Persecution Mania! I will make sure to review it as soon as possible (hopefully with dignity!! :DD!). Bye!
