I would have liked to interact a bit more, but my connection is completely messed up at the office these days.. sorry if I’ve been a bit "absent". @beso: unfortunately, almost all my "blind" purchases turned out to be half-baked.. I even often accidentally bought records that had little or nothing to do with Medal! @corey5: I’m sorry, at the moment I really couldn’t say!.. it happened a long time ago and I didn’t even have my driver’s license yet!:DD! a special shout-out to @Green and @Francescobus (expect a private message from me!) @Purpulan: it's the fault of Word’s autocorrect: I forgot to set the text language to "Universal Words Of Medal" and it automatically changed the song names!:DD! and anyway: really PRAULER is among my top 5 favorite songs by Meiden.. At the top - unbeatable - is Piurgatori, and on the podium, I’d say Ellovd Bi Dai Neim (..a bit cliché, actually). @giudice: we’re joking here, judge! if you want to give me "1" there’s no problem (I even left anonymous comments!), but this is a deeply and intrinsically silly page.. let’s avoid long faces, ok?!? THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE!!! I'm really glad you liked it! I noticed that for a few weeks no reviews were coming in about Iron (also due to the "darkening" of the Captain's, which I greet and thank!;)) and so I thought I would remedy it in my own way.. By the way, this is the fourth version of this review: the first time my computer crashed, the second time I didn’t save the changes in the Word document, so I wrote it directly on the website page, but I had connection problems and couldn’t complete the submission.. I think it's the fault of the Great Power Of Medal that it’s infused with!!!:DDD!

@Fenrir: in the genre it's indeed considered a gem and, in general, it's regarded as the best album of the first phase of Sodom's discography. Let's say that if I have to give 5 to a Sodom album, I give it to that one. @World: but is Shalcke the one that got beaten up by Chelsea in the Champions?! if I'm not mistaken, a couple of years ago Milan also played against them..

I've heard everything about this album: some painted it as a masterpiece, while others called it a total mess. After listening to it these days, I’d say neither one nor the other... I’d say the biggest issue will be seeing if they’ll have it with panettone.

I begin by thanking everyone who has appeared on this page: thank you very much for your visit and for the beautiful votes/comments. As for the album, I intentionally avoided delving into the debate surrounding the appreciation fans have for this record, to keep this review (already lengthy) from becoming tedious. The matter, in my opinion, is simple: from the moment of its release, BOD has been criticized for an alleged commerciality and for an approach deemed excessively easy listening. As can be understood from reading the review, I completely disagree with this assessment. Firstly, because there are fast-paced tracks of very good quality (Shellfire Defense, for example, is a heavy hitter on par with the band's earlier productions). Secondly, Angelripper's passion for certain hard rock/metal origins (Motorhead above all) is well-known, and it's certainly not in this album that traces of it can be found. The (supposed) drop in harshness, in my opinion, is more than compensated for by the increased technical and compositional quality, as well as the variety of these tracks. And then forgive me: everyone has always labeled Sodom as being too raw... They put out an album that's decently played and they're told they've become soft?!? At most, as I mention in the review, it can be said that it’s a bit of a sprawling album, with too many tracks. In short: if I give 5 to Agent Orange and Persecution Mania - for their affection and historicity - I would say this album definitely deserves a 4.
