Edge of Sanity Purgatory Afterglow

For about a year now, I’ve started to write something for the EP "Until Eternity Ends"... when I read Edge Of Sanity in the review list on HP, I felt a chill!:DDD!!! So: 1) I hate Dan Swano; there was a time when all the albums I bought had him as producer... and they all sucked! 2) At the time, I loved Crimson. 3) This is a great album: as you rightly point out, there’s a remarkable confluence-coexistence of styles, sounds, and "souls" for that era. 4) The video for Black Tears is one of the most embarrassing things I’ve ever seen!:D!

Beautiful!!..really well done in capturing the emotions of the concert. I keep thinking that the Transilvania should be demolished (on Tuesday, I saw High On Fire there and, incredibly, the acoustics and hygiene have even worsened since the last time I was there!), but lately it seems to me that they are putting on great concerts and that’s enough. Congratulations again green!

Instead, I've never been able to stand "Tommy the Giant Star" or whatever the hell it was called: endless and exasperating, worse than Mimi Aiuara. When they replaced Megaloman with it, I think I let out my first curse.

..too beautiful when he said: "I would also like to play with my friends/ after school meet in the middle of a field/ throw, run, hit in a flash/ FEELING BIG AND STRONG HERO LIKE YOUUU".. moving..

I never listen to this album again.. never, ever, ever!! By the third or fourth song, I'm already bored. The snare has that death echo that I don't mind, but it's the album itself that’s too compact and monotonous, always and forever aggressive. Personally, I continue to believe that the "Better Off Dead" experiment is much more successful: if nothing else, it's much more varied. @ElectricOne: the point is simple: Brings is, indeed, "anonymous," lacking personality.. it doesn't have its own style, its own musical flair that characterizes its riffing (in the sense, indeed, of riff composition), or even just the "soloing" :DDDD!. It’s not accurate to say that the composition of sodomite riffs is based on the bass lines or, at least, not in such a blunt manner as you say: Blackfire had a distinctive style, as did Hoffman, and you can hear it in the albums they played on. Brings is just a mess-maker, plain and simple. And this album sounds like a mess, plain and simple. @mememnto: review from someone who knows tons, but perhaps I also prefer you when you handle subjects that are, how shall I say, apocalyptic!:DD!

@scorgiuela: I first discovered Iron by watching the concert they did for the May Day celebration in '90-91 on TV. I was flipping through channels and ended up on Raitre, and I saw Dicky clinging like a monkey to a wall of amplifiers, rallying the crowd with Afraid To Shoot Strangers... love at first sight!! :DD! The best one for me remains The Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, but I don't know if it's suitable to start with.. @bonny: wow, that's exaggerating!:DDD! @tuttiglialtri: my connection issues at the office seem to be over!! Yay!!.. thanks a lot again to todos! bye!!
