I was wondering about this: I noticed that 42 always posts these reviews using the name of the musical group as the author's name. Wouldn't it be more correct to put the director's name for the sake of the DeArchivio?!? Especially considering that the review is about the video and not the track... just asking, huh?! :))

For me, the part with Souther represents the pinnacle of the series: in those 15-20 episodes, there's everything that made the series great, but to the nth degree. There's the delirious violence (even against children...), there's sacrifice, with Mr. Shu's climb up the pyramid, there's the villain with a pedo-pornographic past who turns out to have a heart of gold, and there's the grand rendezvous of all the characters. But, above all, there's The Blow of the Universe's Destruction... the first time I saw Ken tell Sauzer: "I've discovered your secret: your heart is on the right and all your pressure points are reversed," I almost had a heart attack!! :DD

Damn, it’s been almost six months since I gave a 5 to this page and this album. I’ll fix that right away. Sorry Matt... come on, give me a smile! :))

In my opinion, it’s not the fault of the people for not getting off their butts. In my view, the discourse is: 1) if you ask me for 60-70 euros for a concert ticket, I want, at the very least, Satan himself to play War Ensemble with his teeth. It’s pointless to have a festival with 50 bands all at a mediocre level (with the sole exception of Voivod and 'Ryche – certainly not bands that fill arenas) and keep prices high in the name of the number of artists involved. At the MiOdi Festival two weeks ago, about 20 bands played and the entrance fee was around 10 euros. 2) If the festival is called Gods of Medal, then you better bring me the Gods of Medal. Otherwise we’ll call it the “Castrocazzo Siderurgic Festival” and send in emerging bands (and, as mentioned in the previous point, charge me 10 euros and not 100), not groups that are either not Gods or not metal. 3) The truth is that the Gods of metal are no longer around or, in any case, it’s always the same old 3-4 names of old fogies: Judas (now just caricatures), Slayer, and Maiden (who have been off their game for a few years now but are still interesting live) and the four dodderers of the Apocalypse (see point 4). I took a look at this year's Wacken bill: I haven't been this sad since Galliani became CEO of Milan. And this year is even the twentieth anniversary edition. Mostly anonymous bands, old glories... if we take away Blind Guardian (who, by the way, are getting on in years), I’m not sure how many bands would be able to fill a venue in Italy. 4) At Gods, they should have brought us Merdallica and Mastodon, not have them do a tour date at Palastopesce. They should have brought High ON Fire: they would have played at 10 in the morning, Matt Pike would show his teeth to the front row, and everyone would have run home to listen to Pupo. Metal isn’t exactly a ladies' affair, for heaven’s sake!
Akira Toriyama Dragon Ball

@47: To tell the truth, Dragonball primarily draws its inspiration from an ancient Japanese legend – one I knew 15 years ago, but of which I only have a vague recollection – which, if I'm not mistaken, concerns the search for immortality by the king of the monkeys and a sacred mountain. In general, the entire first part of the manga has many references to traditional Japanese culture rather than Western culture (I believe the Japanophile Psychoomp can confirm this). Another animated series inspired by the same legend was Starzingers: indeed, the protagonist there was also armed with a staff that could extend and had a crown that would tighten if he disobeyed the princess...

Come on, let’s not delude ourselves: there hasn't been a damn thing here about Gods, but especially about Medal. A Gods Of Medal where Voivod plays at noon, before Ed-ghei, is like a butcher shop displaying spoiled meat in its window. Good review.

@Mopaga: dear, I think I might have expressed myself not badly, but terribly!! :)) I mean: in my opinion, the ironic tone, in this case, is not only appropriate, but also necessary. Summarizing the plot decently is impossible, just like discussing the characters or the differences between the animated series and the manga. For all these things, it’s really worth going on Wikipedia. What I’m saying is a bit like what you read in many comments on the review of Holly and Benji by Il Giustiziere a few days ago, regarding the fact that we all know the nonsense contained in these "historic" cartoons, etc etc... But oh well, I feel like an old chatterbox! I'm complaining about a review on Ken Shiro!!:DD Never mind. In fact, I apologize for the unpleasant comment. Bye Mopaga and have a good Saturday! :))
