Dear Axel, if you read my comments carefully, you’ll see that we think more or less the same!! Bye bye :))

It depends on what kind of rap you listen to, just like all types of music. I repeat: even blues has many "structural" limits. The fact that rap makes you/ me/ us hate it is another matter, but claiming an alleged inferiority of a musical genre just because those who perform it have to stick to certain rhymes or compositional standards seems a bit sterile as an argument. That's all.

"THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW A RHYME LEADS TO FORCED AND TRITE LYRICS" Look, Panico, I don’t know a damn thing about Rap, but I believe that the presence of forced and trite lyrics should be attributed – possibly – to the inability of those who compose them and not to the need to follow a rhyme ("rule" typical of many musical genres and not just rap). "It’s not a matter of skill or not, it’s a matter of limits and this musical genre is full of them." Well, all musical genres have limits, tied to their very nature as "genres." The blues has them (16 bars and the I-IV-V chord progression), metal has them (the use of distortions and dumb lyrics). And so does rap. Otherwise, what you’re playing is a different genre. Aside from that: I haven’t read anything from the discussion, but since I wanted to take a break, I wrote this stuff! :)) Bye!

And in fact you signed up for this site as geenoo, and so far it seems that no one has forced you to reveal your real name in your personal profile, nor - even less so - to sign with an acronym. You don’t review (allegedly) political pamphlets, nor have you ever positioned yourself as a public defender of certain sectors of politics (well aware that politics in general, and certain characters-parties in particular, are - along with reviews of the latest Dream Theater album - the most surefire and effective ways to attract the site's attention).

@Geenoo: if you noticed, the reviewer is named Pietro De Lorenzo and, coincidentally, he ends his personal profile with "PDL"!:D I repeat: it's not a matter of irony. It's a matter of being mocked. It's different.. ;))

@Geenoo: look, I neither have the time nor the desire to engage in a monumental discussion that would only serve to increase general attention on this review. My thesis is simple: this review is nothing but a provocation, a huge stone thrown into a pond in an attempt to create as much turmoil as possible. Just like all those reviews where shit has been consciously (willfully?) passed off as chocolate or, conversely, chocolate has been passed off as shit. Want to take it seriously? Go ahead, be my guest. Just know that you’ll only be playing the reviewer’s game. Want to share your thoughts on the topic of the review?! Go right ahead, be my guest. I’m just saying: let’s save our indignation for occasions that truly deserve it and not waste it on the antics of someone who is much smarter than they want to let on. Laughing-smiling-joking about everything?! When have I ever said that? When have I ever done that?! I’m just saying: let’s try to notice when it’s appropriate to be outraged and when it’s time to share a laugh. Because the alternative is to end up constantly being made a fool of.

"It hurts me, dear debaserian friend, to see that there are those like you, despite being well cultured, who can give credence and space to such garbage." I mean, do you really take these pages seriously?!? Mamma mia... it's like when that girl - whose nickname I don't remember - gave a 2 to *I Promessi Sposi* and everyone there, outraged, told her "how dare you?!?". Is it possible that you don’t even sense a vague whiff of mockery?! Well done, De Lorenzo: I fear you’ve understood the true nature of many debaserians. What will the next review be about?! On *Mein Kampf*?! :))

And instead, in my opinion, the good lad has had the cunning to surround himself with capable instrumentalists and arrangers to serve his nonsense. Aside from the well-known Saturnino (who I’m told is an excellent bassist), the previous guitarist (whose name I don’t know) was quite good, as were the various percussionists he brings along. Especially the last albums of ours are played and arranged very well (perhaps too much..). The problem is that then he puts all this Odin’s bounty to the service of his lisp to sing "Un raggio di sole per teeeeeeehheehheeehhehhee"... I listened to this album for a while: at least a couple of songs aren’t too bad. I want to ruin myself: 2 and that's it.

@Imasoul: dear, don't worry: the problem is general! We just need a little more patience... :))
