"The spider knows well that you go to the farmhouse with cards signed by prey stuck to the TV, it knows what it’s doing, the wasp grants it the hive"
Well, in my humble, commercial opinion, this is the manifesto of this album, the fourth in chronological order, the one following the hit "VERITA SUPPOSTE".
It's hard to hate Mr. Rezza Capa when you enter, with the right predisposition, into his music. Music: that same huge container that now holds everyone cramped together and makes them all seem a bit sadly identical, but all serious and in line and strictly adhering to their own market laws.
Capa goes beyond, shoots at everyone, but always with order and sense and through an apparently foolish writing.
"Open your eyes kid, be careful kid, fear not the wolf man, fear not the dark man, only fear the cunning man"
Dripping intelligence, eyes wide open on everything, engaging in the game and making the listener's thought play, a beautiful mix of courage: "Since I'm a sign of the earth, I leave you on the ground with a mark"
Among the 19 pieces that fill the aforementioned album, the line between happily sad reality and fiction is very thin, you don't know whether to cry or laugh.
Let’s say it's like if YouTurn YouTurn and it screws you over, just when you're comfy like in a condo and stay silent, defeated, like a truffle dog that has lost its scent.
But better depressed than jerks, like "I don't give a damn". Better to look ahead and move beyond, "form an opinion or you'll end up like the methadone cases"
Did you understand anything of what I said?
I hope not.
Neither did I, but I can only say to at least lend an ear to Capa, pause to listen and maybe in the confusion surrounding us, among breathtaking magazine titles, amid Verdian Anthems imposed like safety laws, there's someone who maybe at least once stands on the Side of the Bull.
I've written too much nonsense, it’s better if I wrap it up here.
This latest one, however, seems a bit too vulgar and in some ways even seems a bit 'satanic'!!!
Perhaps those who said that dear Capa is getting tired of success were right and that he intentionally makes songs that only a part of the audience can appreciate...
The album is really interesting, recommended to great fans of the rapper and also to those who want to listen to serious rap with interesting themes.
Has Caparezza produced his second masterpiece after Verità Supposte? Let’s see...
It is a CD containing 19 tracks that highlight a great compositional ability and consecrate his skill.
It starts with a track in which he declares himself dead and ends with his resurrection...
"My favorite track on this album is 'Dalla Parte Del Toro,' which I sing in the shower or when I wake up..."
"Caparezza, being a southern Italian like me, mocks the fascist government in the song 'Inno Verdano' transforming into a 'Verdano-Fascist.'"
