Radiohead The Bends

I have read and I take note of the differing opinions among Radiohead fans about their best album. Radiohead (and their supporters) exist in a world of their own, where everything is not measured in meters and grams but in degrees of commercial appeal of their records. Well, it’s not my fault.

Well done, Daniele! However, the CD is terrible... with all the music out there, one shouldn't waste time "re-listening" to such atrocities... rating 4 for Daniele. rating 1 for the Gorillaz.

Now I’m also taking some "terrone" for myself... and what’s so bad about being a "terrone"? I’m not, I’m very Modenese, but I wouldn’t like, if I had southern origins, to be defined that way. Who knows what your "friend" Sallu, who is of Apulian origins, thinks about it… will he be happy that his bassist friend has certain racist tendencies? Well, that’s his business; he chose his friends. P.S. the photo in the profile is from when I was 16, now I’m 28...

Ok, Jack, since you're exponential in the matter, I trust your knowledge. Anyway, from the album "Showbiz" I got the impression that his technique was lacking. Which has absolutely nothing to do with his compositional creativity and melodic sense. And I'm surprised that you can conflate the two, being ontologically different. If someone in their 6th year of conservatory (or studying alone? Who knows, it's not clear) still confuses "musical technique" with "creativity," then... damn, I really did the right thing by studying with teachers from the Academy of Modern Music (as a private student) and not going to the Conservatory!

Yes, I understand. I also prefer alternate picking over legato, but I try to achieve maximum cleanliness (not always successful) and clarity of the "blended" notes, even at the expense of a bit of speed. <Cleanliness is better than speed> is my musical motto. Tapping intrigues me, but more as accompaniment than as a solo technique. I can pull off some fun tapping tricks with pentatonics. I love the incredible sense of fluidity that legato generates, but it's only usable in solos. Sweeps excite me; I know quite a few different positions. I really like harmonic minor scales; they offer a great variety of options for improvisation.

Okay, don't worry, don't be afraid. I found interesting information through search engines. Thank you anyway (if it's true that you tried)!

Alright, thanks hatemoore. Not responding is part of your style. Thanks. I’ll go to Google, it’s quicker. Then you get mad about stereotypes regarding metalheads... TSE! P.S. Gino Nasi Sports Club of the mafiosos.

To an industry expert, one question: can you explain to me, or rather describe, the various sub-genres into which "metal" music is classified? For example: Street, Doom, Black, Grind, Speed, etc.? Thx. Also in your words, you save me a Google search.
