Steve Vai Alien Love Secret
Voto:
Hi Barney, Van Halen is great, he's an innovator, he doesn't copy but invents, and that alone is enough to declare his absolute value. But I criticize him for using the same old clichés he made famous too often (there are tapping phrases present in all his solos, GASP!) I really like Mike Stern too, he's the Clapton of the 2000s, continuing Eric's artistic "serenity" while adding significantly evolved technique. Morse is one of my favorites (I just saw him in concert with Deep Purple, what a blast!). Robben Ford writes warm and passionate phrases, but his technique doesn’t inspire me; rather, I "borrow" some licks to insert them in very different contexts. Scott Henderson is Steve Vai's alter ego in jazz fusion, he's lethal, and I'm impressed by the calm with which he executes breathtaking phrases, it seems he makes no effort to perform incredible gestures, WOW!

Navarro is a terrible guitarist, with or without pedals and special effects. But just think about the Jane's with, for example, an instinctive guitarist like Tom Morello... SCARY!!!

When someone is destined to take the brunt even if they haven't done anything... that's me, just by giving a compliment there's something wrong... Who knows! Actually, BAH!

Anyway, read the book; it might do you good AS WELL. I’ve read it and reread it until I was sick of it. A few pages, a lot of content.

I'm not a music critic, nor do I want to become one. I didn't make a ranking to seem "original" in people's eyes; rather, these are the records I listen to and appreciate the most. I'm just someone who has made his own way, with strengths and weaknesses. I have my ideas, I hold them close, and I try to support them with rational arguments. I've written some reviews with the clear intent to have fun and entertain, if not everyone, at least someone. Sometimes I'm arrogant, sometimes I'm shy, sometimes useless, sometimes I shine with wisdom, sometimes I annoy readers, sometimes I make them laugh heartily or think about things I believe to be true, but all of this only because I'm part of a game. A game that I enjoy, even at the cost of facing people I can't stand. People who take pleasure in mocking you, perhaps just because they will never have a single original thought and will live in imitation of others. I don't imitate, I innovate. Whether you like it or not, i don't imitate, but i innovate.

Well done Rivo, a review in your style. I always enjoy reading you. At least you know what you’re talking about and you’re quite elegant despite being an architect... :-). I couldn't care less about grades, I don't give ratings, LET'S ABOLISH RATINGS IN REVIEWS!!!!
The Who Who's Next

Their best album, obviously excluding Tommy because it’s an album that belongs to US and not to them, being a work of art. Bibiane, you are full of surprises! I just read the message you sent me and now I’m reading this review... if it weren’t for the fact that love is a useless feeling, I could fall in love with you! I play this album in my bar on those somewhat boring evenings to lift my spirits, especially because that kind of harpsichord sound doubled and tripled (I don’t know what instrument it actually is) at the beginning of Baba just kills me; it gives me an exceptional energy. The only downside: limiting myself to this album, The Who have written a ton of emotions for us, we just need to have the courage to experience them. A masterpiece of an album, rightly supported by an enlightening review. I bow before such abundant Grace. Thank you for the review.

You're right, the review sucks, I wrote it poorly and I’m ashamed of it. I apologize to everyone, it was me but it wasn’t really me. In fact, I had even asked the staff to delete it, the one by Turkish is better. I hadn’t yet gotten into the spirit of a reviewer and I was just doing things out of boredom. I’m sorry. My rating is 1. It will remain as a point of reference for my detractors to slander me. I compensated (and I say this with pride) for this review with the magnificence of the one for Ziggy. True, anonymous?
