I'm sorry I didn't read it earlier, but it's a REALLY beautiful review for a record that deserves not to gather dust. Fucking beautiful!!!

I missed the BEAUTIFUL review, but the emotion that an album like this can convey remains indelible over time.

It seems to me (but I could be wrong) from your words that the assessment of the album would be lower. Good music and (why not) an eye-catching cover.

Congratulations, beautiful review where you feel very emotionally involved. An opportunity for me to go back and listen to a good album.

...I must say that while I have some appreciation for Dire Straits, I had missed the similarity of the song "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2" to the sound of Mark Knopfler's band. Music is beautiful because each of us sees the references we want.....Oh, I almost forgot, Wright was never excluded from the recordings of The Wall, but continued his role as a collaborator, just as he did for the dates when the album was performed live!!! Let's go enjoy it again...
Deep Purple Burn

Let's be clear, ā€œBurnā€ is one of those albums that has generated a lot of discussion from its preparation to its realization. It was almost natural, just like its engaging function, which drew in a good part of the Mark II supporters, along with the wave of new followers who found themselves more aligned with the formation of Coverdale & Hughes and the three pillars, of course. The artistic value of the album is undeniable, but I welcome the thoughts of all those who contributed, even if sometimes, in my opinion, they are quite distant. But as they say, the beauty of Deep Purple lies precisely in the variety of material proposed by the different line-ups during such a long career that presents ups and downs (Blackmore always maintained that regarding his presence in Purple, valuable albums alternated with lesser ones with a ā€œone yes and one noā€ cadence: ā€œIn Rockā€ (yes), ā€œFireballā€ (no), ā€œMachine Headā€ (yes), ā€œWho Do We Think We Areā€ (no), ā€œBurnā€ (yes), ā€œStormbringerā€ (no)!!!).
P.S.: What I have written about ā€œBurnā€ could perhaps have been expressed more succinctly, but the four words (so to speak, obviously) that I find myself using for any (any) album should not be considered reviews (…let's leave that term to the professionals of certain music press, although not all are worthy of being called reviewers...), but rather sincere thoughts that often turn into an act of love, as might be the case here.

I only now happen to read this review, heartfelt, objective, and frank. Of course, the images, memories, and one's own thoughts (as well as dreams) do the rest, well done night.

Beautiful words for an artist belonging to the "unique" category and for an (almost) exceptional track that will also be properly covered from multiple angles.

Review that I really like for the historical references. Great album, there's no denying it, and not just for being a multi-million seller.
