Edoardo Bennato E' arrivato un bastimento

Whatever one might think, it was still an album marked by a characteristic that, within a few years, would disappear forever (always with the exception of the Sarnataro project): honesty.

Alright...(maybe), but what about the choices of the Author, the real ones, made in life, perhaps (as in Lucio's case) fought to the point of losing a few billion... just to be consistent and to make his own idea of art known...??? Your theory is: once he's dead, everything becomes the property of everyone, regardless of the author's will? If so, I will never agree, if not, please explain yourself better. Cheers.

great piece, grandissimo Lucio, who perhaps deserved a review, or maybe just an emotional listening: certainly, reading the cover notes and the text, we managed it on our own...

It's the last album by Edo that I truly enjoyed: in my opinion, there was still a glimmer of experimentation here, a bit of courage, and a few good literary ideas... then, from W La Mamma onwards, it will be a continuous succession of ambiguities, clever wording, and various winks, characterized by a common denominator: the very low quality of both the lyrics and the music (except, of course, for the Sarnataro interlude)... leading up to the very sad farewell to the summer collaboration with Britti....

good reception and the great Mr. G. The problem, rather, is discussing the usefulness of such collections (perhaps useful for getting to know the character, but I doubt it: usually buying the 3/4 essentials of each author would be wiser, from every point of view).

The analyses by degregoriano of saltuario are nearly perfect. Nothing can be added (at least for me). Well done.

Anyway, Fossati in the composition of all the songs (at least 2 of which are much more his than Faber's...) and in duet on two seems to me to be more than sufficient. @degregorius: it's a shame that your idol loves Fossati much more than you, evidently. And anyway, as others have already pointed out, if there’s one thing that Fossati is not involved in at all, it’s the arrangements. Just listen to the contemporary "Macramé" to realize the divergences.

Then, sorry, but an old grammar rule prevents putting Fossati and Raf in the same sentence... What, do we have to make you repeat middle school? (Just kidding, right...?)

@realAXL: I instead believe that renouncing one's own work, no matter how fortunate, is the prerogative of a wise and intelligent man, who is not afraid of growing, aging, and perhaps changing his mind... Don’t you find yourself admiring him, as you look around and see all these dyed-haired censors repeating, with their finger raised or worse, pointed, the same things for decades...?

Great mention and great review: a doubt: the lack of reference to Prince, who for everyone is a model student if not exactly an heir, means that the little prince gets on your nerves or what...? Just curious... anyway, I repeat, great review and fantastic mention.
