I was referring to a recent debaserian vice. Not to everyone (I don't generalize...), but only to those who "hysterically" express their opinions, carefully avoiding to justify them. If you're not one of those, the judgment wasn't aimed at you, of course. What I wanted to say is that in an ultra-democratic (and always excellent) showcase like DeB, the theory of the "prevalence of the fool" from frutterlucentinian memory is very evident, and it confirms its absolute validity... kisses.

wrong: twenty years ago, much more sincere and honest, he sang: "fei like my bike, fei pfopfio like her!" and the immortal parrochianbuonista "no, vafco, no vafco, I don’t cafco".... That was his level, then someone (or maybe he figured it out by himself... who knows...) explained to him that the italiots could easily be made fun of better...

Dearest Alberta, thank you so much and I send you splendid greetings. I share your analysis: as I said, a ā€œtime to dieā€ with a mega solo in the middle would have been a summer hit on the beaches. The choice, and the execution, aren’t the worst. Here, one must understand, there’s an endless number of people who harbor biases and have found a platform for their pseudocultures as misunderstood geniuses, maligning anyone who finds success (just look at the daily list of reviewed albums): shall we bet that for all of them, the best ones are actually themselves and their little songs hidden away in drawers? (I have countless of those too, but for this reason, I acknowledge Vasco for countless things, and I also attribute just as many accusations to him... it’s all about distinguishing). Bocelli? He said it a long time ago, but he said it (and he was already famous). The average Italian doesn’t criticize him, or criticizes him with their hands on their (male genitalia), simply because they are blind. It’s pure truth: we are a nation of superstitious hypocrites. I, if I consider him incompetent, harmful, and a bit of an imbecile, say it, just as I would about any sighted person. I allow myself a self-promotion: if you like reading me, get Tortelli&Porcelli, Damster editions, Modena (look it up online and you’ll find it). At the very least, you’ll have fun. Kisses.

definitely interesting the second album, the rest in the worn-out norm (always great, but always the same)
Jovanotti Il Quinto Mondo

Jovanotti, weighing results and expectations, is absolutely the worst (if he had stayed at the level of "you’re like my motorcycle" I wouldn’t object, but it’s as if tomorrow Pezzali wanted to enter the same category as De André...)

So, first of all, thanks to those who appreciated the review (I repeat what I’ve said elsewhere: if I receive a high rating for the review and a very low one for the album, I interpret it as the highest compliment, and I truly believe it is...!) and to those who said I write well (it has always been my hobby, and I’ve even had some pieces published..., so I fully enjoy every appreciation in that sense). I also had fun with ValerioRivoli, who described the review as ā€œblind and greasyā€.... truly fantastic: I knew I was greasy, but to be told that my writing is greasy is a shocking and exhilarating novelty...! On Vasco: I knew I was going to stir up a nearly unanimous hornet's nest, obviously against me. I reiterate what I said: a cover (even this cover) is better than a bad unreleased song. From a "technical" standpoint, Vasco cannot be blamed for having "distorted" the arrangement and interpretation of the original... but, excuse me... was it better to make a horrible (and impossible) photocopy...? anyway, thanks to everyone from the greasy Primiballi.

@marpado: I basically agree (on the other hand, my review points it out quite clearly). The problem is that Vasco was, as you say, an interesting phenomenon and, for Italy, quite unprecedented for the first (I would say) no more than ten years; then it became an industry... In this industry, there are a mix of decent authors and some terrible ones, and the kids, you are right, can barely distinguish. "Un senso," for example, is not, for me, a bad song, but it is simply a song by Stadio. And so on. When Vasco made an album of "author's leftovers" like "canzoni per me," he came close to touching decency, even though almost all of them were clearly leftovers. When the carousel, among the many flops, released the leftover "sarà migliore"... well... it sounded like classical music compared to some contemporary stuff. Today, we are in the midst of the "era of cleverness," also sold as artistic coherence... We'll see the new album, but there’s little to be hopeful about.

There should be a grammar rule that prohibits putting Radius and britti in the same sentence... Soul and history against technique and trickery...

they are extremely different... perhaps we could synthesize (also stylistically) that one was a great Ligurian, the other a great Emilian... the rest goes without saying...

@marpado: don’t you think you’re being a bit too ā€œintenseā€ā€¦ Often these angers hide a lot of other things… bah…; at least tell me what you think of Vasco from 15 years ago? kisses
