Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here

I don't understand how anyone could give less than ten to both this and Dark Side... These are albums that have made music history, without a doubt; just look at the years they were released and how they set the standard (not to mention how much they sold, which is never an absolute criterion, lest we consider Pausini a genius...).
Ligabue Buon compleanno, Elvis!

Frankly (and I have appreciated and played Liga's music for years), I find this album the most trivial of all, close, in a couple of songs (Viva, Quella che non sei...) to being disingenuous, as they are written with only one reference point: the "average Italian girl." Some things are very beautiful (Seduti in riva al fosso), many others are passable. Guys, let's be clear: from a cold technical standpoint, Clandestino sounded much, much better. These have more passion, but they proved it especially in the subsequent albums.
Prince Sign "O" The Times

masterpiece or not...? this question will forever divide critics and fans alike. Personally, I believe that Prince's masterpieces are those from his pure Revolution period (from 1999 to Parade, to be clear), and that afterwards he somewhat coasted with extremely heterogeneous works, sometimes very well made, sometimes bordering on the useless. Sign marks an era like few other albums, and for this alone it should be considered a "must-have." It’s a bit like the discussion that can be made about Achtung Baby by U2: perhaps not the most beautiful, but absolutely essential for rock-pop from the '90s onwards.
