let's say I'll bring water to my old mill... but I consider those who grew up with Battiato's "La Voce del Padrone" or with Dalla-De Gregori's "Banana Republic" to be luckier... those who grew up with this stuff risk falling victim to the deep banality of language (both literary and musical), unfortunately demeaning the great singer-songwriter tradition we had (and still have, sometimes)... so is Pezzali the beginning of the end...? undoubtedly yes, along with Britti, Pausini, Bocelli, and the other monsters.
