No...: cover albums, if well done, are extremely important... otherwise, they take value away (besides millions of bands like mine, for example...) from the very concept of "interpreter." Cocker is the male alter ego of Mina, one of the very few who, through his interpretations, enriches the originals. This album is nice, absolutely average, but not his masterpiece.

rece, beautiful, but the TW from before - Small Change for me is inferior to everything that followed.

Katchè and Copeland are very different drummers, in my opinion, regardless of the certainly authoritative opinion of the 83 article writer. This is because the former is technically superior, a high-level touring musician and jazz player (just listen to the differences between Gabriel's last two tours... or his ECM records), while Copeland is simply a genius, much like Keith Richards... he is a genius not for the technicality of what he does, but for how he does it. For his absolutely unique and unrepeatable way of playing his "iron."

the small glimpse of a genius, and above all the hairstyle I have always wanted to have...!! it seems that this man now roams around being a macho macho man singing "te amo corazon". I can't believe it: to me, he's a clone.

incredibly beautiful and historically very important record. nice review too. the poverty of the posts, however, casts a sad and very generational light on the visitors of the otherwise excellent site...: let’s bet that any review of one of the many uncomparable imitation bands (let's say, among others, the Green Day...?) would have three thousand posts....???...sadness

But I can say that what he earns is irrelevant to me and, above all, that I don't give a damn, without some little drama queen feeling offended deep down...??????
Ivano Fossati L'Arcangelo

Fossati's pre... is all of the highest level (the already mentioned "grande mare..." is an ancient and splendid record, but if I’m not mistaken, it’s hard to find in CD…). Personally (but I’m a big cultivator of foggy melancholies...), I consider the perfect works to be those ranging from "la pianta del the" to "la disciplina della terra," including the two live albums. In my opinion, these are 10 out of 10 records, while the ones before and after are 9, but it’s well known that I have a bit of a bias towards Our Man....

I respect you, but your judgments are too influenced by your generation: it's absolutely right that you felt what you felt and enjoyed it. It's equally right that (if you really also heard the great Faber) some critical sense should develop, giving the right weights to one and the other... (I assure you that for those who have surpassed 30 Pezzali songs, it's embarrassing, both in terms of music, lyrics, and character).

always the usual depressing superstructures... damn... can't we judge a product just for the product...? it’s clear that the civilization of the image has truly made great strides (for the worse)... let’s judge the album. I agree with those who said it’s a good product, adding that this same product is enhanced by not being either the first or the tenth from the Artist. the journey of an Artist is important, not as much as one might assume it draws from their (still wonderful) concerts... the fact that the Boss can create albums like this and Devils & Dust in the 2000s only marks his greatness. it's just a matter of wanting to see it or not...
