no... I haven't gone... but if you could send me the details, you'd be doing me a favor... (I have a little girl and moving around beyond the time of the babysitter/grandma is particularly difficult... but you never know...). As for the record, we can agree on that. Probably my enthusiasm is both personal and driven by a total partisanship for the character...

can you send me the address again... I can't get in with the copy-paste...??? I'm probably just not good at it... (as for military service... I did it at the end of university... hence the disks... the age is there...)

thank you, nice comment: fundamentally we agree. probably, indeed...it's certain..., a lot about the judgment depends on the environment, the moment you’re living in (for me, touching it, very beautiful)...in short...a ton of things that perhaps have little to do with objectivity...for example, in the military I suffered like a dog, and whenever I could I’d put on Battiato's "Il letargo" and "Anime Salve". well...: they have become two of the most beautiful albums ever for me...is it true...??? who knows... Lucio Battisti Emozioni

Beautiful record, obviously, but the opening of your review is, to say the least, stratospherically exaggerated. Personally - and as objectively as possible - I judge Lucio's album to be perfect, and one of the five in the history of Italian music, "il mio canto libero" (which, mind you, is not the one I subjectively prefer) for reasons I can explain if you'd like... This "emozioni" is historically incredibly important, as you said, and very inspiring. In short, a great record. But let's not exaggerate (and I'm telling you this as a fan of Battisti, someone who I believe cannot be more dedicated)...

I will definitely read it. However, I would like to ask you a question first: how many times have you heard/chewed on it...? How much do you know about Fossati and which do you believe is his "best period"?... Do you think that in the thicker, more singer-songwriter/melancholic side there can be further steps beyond "la disciplina della terra"...? I swear: these are not provocative questions, but simple inquiries to which I would like a response from you... just to deeply understand your opinion (which, from what I've read above, could too hastily be dismissed as that of the usual pseudo-intellectual who thinks that if Fossati and De Gregori aren't suffering and making others suffer, then it means they have failed... from the way you write, however, it doesn't seem to me that you could be labeled like that... please clarify, if you feel like it, of course...).

No... for me, there's talent to spare (proof that there's something in the genes for sure...) what’s missing is even a minimal step towards a somewhat original singer-songwriter language... in other words... he’s good, but he has always and only said things that others have said better (if nothing else, the points of comparison are giants of singer-songwriter music, people of the caliber of Faber or Fossati...)

great album and great project, which the review (pardon...) does not do justice to...
Vasco Rossi Canzoni Per Me

great album, totally agree with the definition of "last official album", but let’s not exaggerate...: they are almost all leftovers. online you can find (or could find, I have them anyway) the voice and guitar demos of almost all this stuff, and, judging by the unmistakable vocal tone, we are in the early '80s. compositionally it's all good but not great. great album only if you consider the release date, weak if compared to other products truly contemporary to this one (the fabulous eighties...)...

The distance from the scene doesn't bode well... however, judging by the album, it's an excellent product. He's a great musician and a very good songwriter, even though I've always thought he could seek higher-level collaborations with his lyrics... anyway... good... more indebted to Fossati than to the Babbo, for me...
