traubert...I'm starting to think that you are my sleepwalker. Absolutely agree. I find it idiotic to consider it commercial or overrated.
Francesco Guccini D'amore di morte e di altre sciocchezze

traubert: I completely agree on everything. On Cyrano, it’s overrated, especially—I’ve never found anyone who thinks like I do (/we do)... Furthermore, by her own admission, she keeps making the same album (and she could stop, since it doesn’t add anything to her great story and actually risks taking something away...). As for the fact that she competes with "quello che non," there’s absolute agreement, while it seems you agree that Bovary doesn’t compete with almost anything (as it’s so perfect...)

The review is good, although I believe it’s impossible to perfectly convey the value of what is perhaps the best album of Italian singer-songwriters, and it is certainly its epitaph... anyway, I don’t think Faber and Fossati decided not to co-sign it for the reasons that Traubert mentions above. I spoke with Fossati during a conference in my city, and things seemed to me to be a bit different. I was thinking of taking on the challenge of reviewing this album, and I will provide my explanations... in any case, it’s an absolute testament, and unfortunately not just of Faber.
Fabrizio De André 1991 Concerti

Unfortunately, something I've never shared is that Faber in the tours following PFM adhered to their arrangements down to the millimeter (of course, only for the pieces he did with them...) which he confessed live, several times. Laziness? Unconditional love for those "reinterpretations"...? We'll never know. The fact is that even Marinella and the others are the same as PFM, just recorded very differently and partially less electric and more classical/acoustic. The true gem, however, of the last tour and not this one from '91, is the reinterpretation of La Buona Novella, now that's a masterpiece, in which his son Cristiano participated significantly (obviously in the arrangements...)
Donald Fagen Morph The Cat

Listening to it carefully, you can spot some musical gems that are definitely superior to Kamakiriad and more reminiscent of the unattainable Nightfly. However, I can see a lot of Steely Dan in there, especially from their last two studio albums (the love for the pseudo-blues structure of the tracks, the guitar solos that are so similar in their arrangements, even though played by different hands...). Well... it's absolutely great and unparalleled, but I really don't see that big difference (and need for distancing) from Steely Dan...

Your comment seems quite Taliban to me, but sharing your same faith, I can only agree. Of course, St. Mark's Square must have been exceptional. An official DVD of the tour will come out at Christmas (unofficially, a lot of stuff is already on e-mule...), although I believe it's still unknown what date it will be (maybe the one with Mason as a guest...???!!!).
Cristiano De Andrè Scaramante

To refer back to the initial words of the punisher (now lost in the self-celebratory delusions of his blog…), unfortunately, we have learned from the newspapers how the boy is "washed up." What a shame, indeed. It seems, however, but Luzzato Fegiz said it (so… who knows…) that he was working on a live "Cristiano sings De Andrè" featuring pieces from his father, which I think would be an interesting move on one hand, but mostly wrong and risking a dive into pure trash. Who knows…

I believe that in a few decades, we'll miss these records a lot...(in the sense that we complain with no real reason...)

Well done "me": there would be enough to hold a seminar on the bass lines of the handsome guy: the boy was (and is) really talented. The fact that – in fact – we are talking about the Durans risks unjustly undermining the seriousness of the discussion...

a fake, in the sense of an old porcelain doll pretending to be a silly young girl... well... I don't know... to me she's silly but not enough, I as a fake could do better... anyway, we eagerly await the other reviews...
