Well done, Poletti. I may be an old DeB, but I stand by it...: the beginnings of Vasco and Liga are pure genius, and don’t listen to all the idiots up here (who I bet have pretentious little songs hidden away in their childhood drawers - under the PlayStation... - and are convinced that they are the misunderstood geniuses...). Well done. An absolutely essential album.

The last two you mention are indeed beautiful. But you can't say that "viva" and "quella che non sei" weren't created deliberately (by an adult...) to achieve that adolescent-feminine identification that, as everyone knows, pays off, and a lot..., from every point of view...

If one is a bit objective (in my opinion, senior86), one cannot fail to see that in "Happy Birthday Elvis," Liga is excessively juvenile and opportunistic. Songs like "viva," "quella che non sei," or "vivo morto o x," while nice, are written with too much regard for the pimple-faced and the premenstrual (for heaven's sake... nothing forbidden and evidently quite profitable...). The lyrics of the first three albums are light-years away, unfortunately. Then, fortunately, he comes back up (up to the last one which, with the exception of the very weak "happy hour," is at times excellently written). As you can see... de gustibus...

happy to see Cece again, although, in agreement with the Punitoro, I must note a somewhat subdued style... Still, I agree with the value of the work and the protagonists. However, the pieces don't all resonate, and I would have emphasized even more the indispensable compositional contribution of that great genius Jannacci... anyway, all good, and happy to read you again (by the way... have you noticed what extremely young riffraff is around lately...???)

for me these guys have always been fluff (I don't know if squared or cubed). anyway, an interesting and well-made doc. the fact is that I'm noticing that DeBaseriani are dramatically dividing into those who write things "suitable for minors" and those "suitable for adults": too bad... but it seems to me that society is going a bit like this...
