THE REVIEW

A masterpiece this album, something that makes you feel good with every listen, not so much for the lyrics, of which I don't understand a word, but for the melody.

A subtle, barely hinted voice brushes your ear, the purest poetry lulls you, while you lazily pass the time on a comfortable sofa, the same harmony of the most beautiful dreams, those golden dreams that mom always spoke of.

Amidst more than valid songs are true wonders of music that sound as good as Nick Drake, Leonard Cohen, and even good old Bob (Dylan); works such as: Cracking, Marlene On The Wall, The Queen And The Soldier, Undertow and above all, in my very humble opinion, the superlative Small Blue Thing.

An album to download, listen, re-listen to better grasp its essence, finally buy and keep in a corner of the heart ready to be released at any moment with all its candor, its sweetness and its love.

Her voice becomes a magnet: I didn’t know I had iron with me, but evidently, some must have fallen into the snow from an absent-minded pedestrian.

"The Queen and The Soldier" manages to move confidently and familiarly between my ears as if it were at home.
