Dave Matthews Band Crash
Voto:
the album is stunning (I thought so then, I think so now). the review is a bit sparse, and the "left-wing" stance seems to me to indicate a touch of "double standards" that I can't quite understand, however... the problems are very different….

I also support the theory of the "transition album"...: certainly different, especially in sound, between before and after. Of course, for me the real pleasure comes after...(even if "blue valentines" is an ethereal album, almost perfect to seem unreal, and wonderfully nocturnal)
Lucio Battisti Il Gabbianone

dear voice... I really believe that alfiero doesn't know a damn thing about his son's artistic life, especially the latest one... anyway... I'm afraid the widow has made everything disappear (crazy as she is...)
Franco Battiato Mondi Lontanissimi

Poletti, let's stick to the record: Iside is right. It's the first time that FB takes a step back and self-covers, and that's not a good sign, even if ultimately the album is beautiful. It's certainly incorrect to say that this is where the subsequent Battiato begins, which, by all logic, starts with the arrival of Sgalambro and with "l'ombrello...". Before that, there are small variations in style, but it’s with the change in literary tone that the real change occurs (and for me, not for the better, but that would be a very long discussion). However, in my opinion, the best FB goes from "patriots" to "orizzonti perduti"... this is, for me, the golden period.
Pino Daniele Terra Mia

Dear Vailatti, a right and commendable review that, I believe unintentionally, aligns with a stance I previously expressed specifically about DeB...: if he returned to Naples, took up a guitar, a notebook, and a pen, told Fabiola and all the women who meddle with his music to take a hike, conditioning it in a “nice” / polished way... well... maybe Pino would return to being what he once was (he certainly doesn’t lack hedonism... and every now and then he offers some rare signs of life...) (if you want, you can check out my reviews, as there are still many open discussions).
Van Morrison A Sense Of Wonder
Voto:
It's inexplicably one of the Vans I've listened to the least... I’ll have to revisit it. Anyway, in Grass, trust is blind. To those who asked what’s worth hearing "after," I would say everything, but if I had to choose a couple, I would definitely say "days like this" and "the healing game" (but also "what's wrong with this picture," unique for the blue note, is worth it...).
Pino Daniele Nero A Metà

Davide: I'm only seeing this now... I'm not mad at you... it's just that as an old fan, I divide the pre-Sciò period from the post. Undoubtedly, Pino has changed, and that’s undeniable. Everyone can prefer the period (or sub-period) they want... speaking of the latest ones, for example, Medina seems to me to be a really good product, while Iguana much less so...
Edoardo Bennato e Alex Britti Notte di mezz'estate

...about tastes...but here it’s as if Battisti had made a dance track with Cristina D'Avena as the theme for Bimbumbam...anyway, I repeat, about tastes...
Pino Daniele, Francesco De Gregori, Ron, Fiorella Mannoia In Tour

So at least signal "Friendly Fire" (exceptional in many ways), even if perhaps the anthology and a bit of a smart move "The Actor's Suitcase" is very nice.
Van Morrison Magic Time

Dearest Grass, your honesty is unsettling... if the pockets don’t allow it, there are some beautiful mefafiles called "van morrison complete discography" or something similar, very useful for filling the gaps... it’s known that it can't be done, but it is done anyway... thanks for the compliments (and get yourself the next Van, it’s always worth it).
