Here indeed, it would have been better if you hadn't even started this review. I don't understand why in metal reviews there’s always a "recommended even for those who don't love metal" or "if you don't love this album, you don't love music," "you absolutely have to listen to it, even if you're dying," etc... assuming a completely legitimate open-mindedness, when I'm sure they don’t even remotely know who - let’s say - John Coltrane is. Well, I haven't listened to this album, but I have listened to other stuff from this apocalyptic group, and I have to say I didn't love it, and I apologize for that. But I truly believed I loved music, really. Now your illuminating words have thrown me into the deepest despair. Did I get everything wrong in life? And what the hell is this happiness I seem to feel when I listen to Tom Waits? Is my brain just messing with me?

The Pulp... what a bland band. And this is not their best work, which remains "Different Class". In my opinion, this is even the most lackluster of their career.
