Is it really possible that you are so short on ideas for albums to review? Come on, there are 6 more out there!

I don’t agree on many things, if you’re interested: I’m not a one-man band, actually most of the music is by the guitarist; I could give you Jeff Buckley at best in "Shine" but in the rest I don’t see him; but where did you read that the arrangements are done by Hoyem?; "Monster" from the old continent? Uhm... Are you sure?; Finally, here’s my personal ranking: "Industrial Silence": 8/10; "Nightly Desease": 8/10; "Grit": 7/10; "The deep end": 7.5/10. Haloa!

Yes psycho, it’s true, I got to know them with Mellon Collie, and I was struck by it (the album). Then I went back and although I’ve always liked everything a bit, this one has remained the only one that regularly plays in my reader. Then there’s also an emotional aspect, but that’s another story. Anyway, there are some musical efforts on which it’s objectively impossible to trash talk, and Mellon Collie is one of those. I don’t even care if people like it or not; as far as I'm concerned, I loved it and I still do. I see it as a summary of 30 years of rock & roll nicely blended together. When I put it on, it’s a bit like the smell of the room where I grew up, all these memories. Whether we like it or not, us thirty-somethings are the generation that grew up with grunge, and this album was right in the middle of it. Let’s love each other!
