Annie Lennox Diva
Voto:
The review is a bit "pompous" but it's well written and you can tell that you really love this album; however, you could have highlighted the collaboration with Buchanan from the Blue Nile on one of the tracks… an album that, in my opinion, is truly beautiful (but not perfect). Lennox is a brilliant artist and composer, one of the most beautiful and charismatic voices in the music scene. Unfortunately, it’s also true that her two subsequent albums (and even the Eurythmics reunion album) unfortunately did not live up to Diva. Her new album is set to be released in late spring…

The review is very nice, while the album (despite being a big Prince fan) I have never been able to appreciate, too intricate in the slower moments and not engaging enough in the faster ones (with a few exceptions, thankfully). For me, it's one of his less beautiful works, still pleasant, of course; the worst of Prince is (almost) never to be thrown away, but the previous Lovesexy makes it look like a giant! I'll give it a stretched-out 3.

From Hodini, the scrap material (which is already an excuse) from '78 is still superior to the "new" and plastic-like material from '93... then, to each their own, but I believe it's a widely held opinion that the title of the worst goes to The Red Shoes; many of us are deaf to that ;)

A very nice and also funny review... the album is perhaps the one by Bush that I listen to the least (although it is definitely better than Red Shoes), let's say I find the second part beautiful (Coffee Homeground is exceptional!) but I've always found the first part less inspired and with an excessive glycemic index. If I could, I would give it 3.5.

I like the review... the album a little less, I’ve always found it excessively pompous and at times a bit cumbersome, forced. However, the beautiful songs are not lacking, but I was starting to feel the absence of Smith (too bad his return 10 years later didn’t yield the hoped-for results).
Cocteau Twins Treasure

Great album, but I much prefer Victorialand, which is much more ethereal and "liquid" and without that somewhat intrusive drum machine that, in my opinion, is the only flaw of Treasure; it makes it feel "aged"...

Alright, then I apologize to all the EWF for using that ugly word in my previous message ahahaha... but "ears with feet" isn't exactly much prettier, is it!? I guess I’ll prefer to self-proclaim myself as an admirer of her music!

I still haven't figured out why Amos's fans call themselves EWF (it really sounds like a protected species!), it's an acronym that stands for...???
Anyway, aside from the price, I don't think I'll buy this box set; who knows, maybe I'll reconsider if the next album (is it confirmed for May?) manages to make me forget the disappointment from The Beekeeper.
But am I wrong? I see that the cover EP "Crucify" wasn't included? Quite an absurd choice...

It’s probably the Blur album that I would be most interested in exploring...perhaps because I found the first single really beautiful and because I have always been drawn to the less publicized and more controversial works. Sooner or later, I’ll buy it...
